@redwingsuk Redwings Horse Sanctuary… WOW. 🤍🐴✨

We spent the day meeting some rather gorgeous residents, and honestly, I was trying to take it all in whilst simultaneously working out how many I could fit in the car. 🤣🤍

But behind all those beautiful faces, there’s a much bigger story.

Redwings gives horses, ponies, donkeys and mules a safe place to call home, with a wonderful team dedicated to their care and wellbeing.

Getting to meet some of these residents and learn a little more about what happens behind the scenes made our visit even more special. Because sometimes, you visit somewhere for an adventure and leave with a whole new appreciation for the work happening quietly behind the scenes. 🥹

And that’s what I love about days like these. The adventures, the time together, the things we discover along the way… and those little reminders that there is so much good happening in the world, often in places we might never have thought to look. ✨

🌟 Meet Casper: Our Newest (and Handsomest!) Adoption Star 🌟

We all know there’s something truly special about a super senior. They’ve got the wisdom, the character, and—in Casper’s case—a very well-practiced "please cuddle me" expression that’s simply impossible to resist!

We are absolutely thrilled to introduce Casper, an 18-year-old Thoroughbred cross, as our very own SPILLERS Adoption Star at Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Rescued back in 2008 after a tough start, Casper is now living his absolute best life at Redwings Hapton HQ in Norfolk.

Casper has a heart as big as his personality. In fact, he’s so gentle that he was recently appointed "professional best friend" to keep his buddy Smirnoff calm and happy while receiving veterinary care in the Redwings Horse Hospital. If that doesn't show the incredible, healing power of equine companionship, we don't know what does!

Managing veterans like Casper requires a careful balance of day-to-day management and tailored nutrition. For over two decades, SPILLERS has partnered with Redwings, combining our scientific research with their hands-on expertise to help keep their 1,000+ residents—from playful ponies to distinguished seniors—happy and thriving.

While Casper is officially our boy, there are so many other wonderful horses, ponies, and donkeys at Redwings who are looking for love and sponsorship! Sponsoring an Adoption Star is a beautiful way to make a difference and receive regular, heartwarming updates from their unique perspective.

And while Casper's home at Hapton HQ is a quiet, specialised hospital site that isn't open to visitors, you can always visit Redwings' open public visitor centres in Norfolk and Essex to get some real-life nose scratches and grab a coffee!
