While in Zanzibar we had the privilege and opportunity to partner with a local organization, @holdinghandsznz to donate at least a three month supply of sanitary pads to well over 50 young girls. ✨

Menstrual hygiene remains a taboo subject in many parts of Africa. In conjunction with the lack of stable infrastructure and housing, the lack of access to affordable and reliable menstrual hygiene products and information is a significant barrier to girls’ education and health.

In the upcoming weeks and months, we will continue our efforts to provide each girl with at least a one year supply of sanitary pads, as well as, underwear and other necessities.

I hope you join us in this effort. ❤️

Traveling, especially through multiple time zones can throw your system into complete chaos. Here’s a few ways I stay grounded while traveling!

✨ I don’t travel without continuing my yoga practice! Asanas, breathwork and meditation take up no space in your suitcase. Taking a few moments on my trip keeps me in balance bc sooo many unexpected things could happen while on your travels.
✨I dance just about everywhere I go. Dancing moves stagnant energy around to help you release stored emotions/trauma! SO BUST A MOVE REAL QUICK!
✨They say laughter is food for the soul, and I couldn’t agree more. Laughing with locals, family and friends that became family always brings me back home.
✨Being present allows you to realize you are ALWAYS surrounded by love. 💗
✨Hydration is key to life!! Not just water either, fruit and fruit juices help hydrate your body w a touch of sweetness!
