Another week of simply getting on with it.

At that point now where progression in lifts is slowly down slightly, which was expected to happen at some point.

I’m going to focus on maintaining the lifts I’ve built up post show and improve the quality of the reps i.e form, tempo etc.

Full back & chest session.

Took a bunch of videos for coach @reece.kyffcoaching this session, so I thought I might as well share it here to show you all what training looks like at the moment.

First set of 15-20 done, into 2 heavier sets of 8-12.

I used to avoid super narrow grip pulls because the bar makes it difficult to reach a full contraction, but the stretch on this is insane and feels fiery as hell.

Up 2.5kg on the high incline smith press. Managed 18 reps out of 20 last week and thought "fuck it, let's try".

In the spirit of fuck around and find out added 5kg to the heavier sets of this exercise.

As long as the jumps aren't huge, I'm finding that going heavier and slightly lower than the prescribed rep range primes me for greater load progression in the following weeks as the nervous system adapts.

Low cable rows. Very shortened range exercise. Great contraction. Nice way to "connect" with the lats.

A few months ago, this press was agony on my shoulder, so seeing the load creep up is cool.

Finally bumped up to 1 set at 40kg per side (technically 2 plates) last week, so in this session, I did it for all three sets.

Rear delt cable flys.

Using some nerdiness to do a mechanical drop set. As many reps of the set as possible with a relatively straight arm, then the remainder done with a bent elbow, reducing the distance between the cable and the joint, decreasing the challenge of the weight without changing the load.

Practicing to get really good at hugging.

Incline flys. Leaning forward so the arm path travels more in line with the upper chest fibres on a diagonal angle.

A much needed weekend reset 🍁

September & the start of October have been pretty crazy

With client show days most weekends, travelling up and down the country, work being super busy

And I love it, I love bodybuilding and being able to coach my own clients this year has been incredible

But I can’t lie it is ALOT for the mental lol & I have been craving a slower weekend 😌

So for our first free weekend in a while, Reece and I made some time to get outside and just breathe

We found a couple new walk spots & woods, got Samson exploring, and I even left my phone in the van for a few hours to really soak it all in

Probably sounds dramatic “even left my phone” but for me, when I work from it, it has to be a proactive decision!! 🫣😅

And it’s exactly what was needed to get me feeling reset and refreshed to get back to it this week 🙌🏼

So if you take anything from this post let it be this…rather than constantly trying to push through a feeling of being overwhelmed or stressed, take a minute to put everything down, get outside, and give yourself time to breathe …

We all need it every now and again, sometimes more than we know 🫶🤍

The current routine that’s keeping me on track with my training right now (slide 9 is the best part) 🎧🤍

With work being super busy I’ve been finding I get to the end of the day and I feel exhausted from staring at a screen all day

Or I get to the gym and I have a million things still going round in my brain from the day

And I’m sure I’m not the only one ??

But I know that if I want to really optimise my training, and make the most out of my sessions, then I need to lock tf in …

It needs to be the only thing I’m focused on in that moment

And early sessions are what are doing that for me right now…no emotion, just raw ‘just woke up energy’😠

But we’re keeping it simple…I’m not your girl for 10 step skincare, hair care & makeup tips at this time I’m afraid 😂

This routine doesn’t work for everyone but that’s the fun of it, finding out what works for you in your current chapter

That’s what I help my clients to figure out and build habits around to make sure they can stay accountable to a routine that works for them!

Crazy that this was 2 years ago to the day 🤯

First time doing back to back shows…

Meaning plenty of driving, service station & toilet check-ins sent to coach, as well as walking around tanned up and in half done make-up getting some funny looks …

It’s easy to forget how niche it is when you truly love it & your life is so focused on it 😂

But what an experience & I’m very grateful to have had Reece & my family there with me

This year the shoe has been on the other foot…and the first year being at shows with my own bodybuilding clients which has been another amazing experience that I’m very grateful for!

One that has taught me a lot about myself, my ability as a coach, and bodybuilding in general 🙌🏼

But also got me reminiscing … the standard this year has been crazy and it’s lowkey got me kinda nervous, but also super excited to go again myself next season 💕

My heart is completely full.

And with that... I'm officially a nationally qualified NPC athlete.

This means so much more to me than a few placings.

For a long time, I've struggled with believing in myself. I've always loved bodybuilding and training, but deep down I never felt like I had truly earned the right to call myself an athlete. I constantly questioned whether I was good enough and whether all of the sacrifices would ever amount to anything.

This prep pushed me further than I thought I could go. There were nights I cried from pure exhaustion. Days I looked in the mirror and felt like I was getting worse instead of better. Moments where I wondered if I was going to step on stage and embarrass myself.

But I kept going.

Standing on that stage and hearing my name called wasn't just validation for one day. It changed something inside me. After my final placing was announced taking home a gold and 2 silvers, I walked off the stage with tears in my eyes. In that moment, every ounce of doubt, every sacrifice, every early morning, and every difficult day felt worth it.

For the first time, I don't have to wonder anymore. I believe in myself. I know I'm a bodybuilder. I know I'm an athlete. And now, I can proudly say I'm an NPC champion and a nationally qualified competitor.

That feeling is hard to put into words.

More than anything, this has lit an even bigger fire inside me. This isn't the finish line it's the beginning. I can't wait to get back to work, build a bigger and better package, and see what I'm capable of next time I step on stage.

To my coach, my wife, my family, and everyone who supported me through this journey, thank you. I truly couldn't have done it without you.

The off-season starts now. Let's build something special. 💪

🇬🇧WNBF SUPERNATURALS 2026🇬🇧

TOP 4 IN THE UK BABY!

This felt unreal after last week, came in so much sharper, best look ever, couldn’t have been happier with the package we bought out there today, the transformation from just last week was insane, going from not placing to top 4 this week in a much harder more competitive line up

Had an amazing time on stage, what an amazing event, for the biggest natural federation in the world, at their biggest show of the season!

As always I can’t thank @reece.kyffcoaching enough, some amazing coaching to dial me in this week and literally transform me in a week 😂, and for this season as a whole really, you’re a legend

And of course having my girlfriend in the crowd definitely motivated me a lot more 😂, having you in the crowd today, and supporting me through prep, keeping my head in a good place has been great, I could never thank you enough for all you’ve done

30 August 2026. Fourteen months of work. First one.

Someone had to hold me to it. @reece.kyffcoaching was the incredible coach in my corner, thanks for everything along the way! A date is easy to miss on your own. Then I did it again. Best I’ve ever looked.

Start with the end in mind. You only know where to start once you know what you are working toward. Same with money.

3rd show of the season ticked off, the BIGGEST natural show ever in the UK, just under 400 competitors in total

Didn’t place as I wanted here, no excuses, but it just means we need to work harder and come back better, the vision is thill there just gotta stay hard and grind for the last show of the season now

Come back better next time

Still massive thanks to @reece.kyffcoaching for everything this weekend, absolute legend and again I can’t thank you enough, made this experience go as smoothly as possible and keeping me in the right direction

And ofcourse I still had a great experience, met loads of great people again, I love this sport
