I am THRILLED, STOKED, PUMPED, dare I say AMPED, even (we’re bringing back AMPED, we decided)… and generally very excited to be DJing + bringing the VHS Confession Booth to @sanctumchicago this Halloween 😈🛐😈 [tickets in their bio!]

On its first installation at @unknownpleasureschatt, the VHS Confession Booth was exactly the kind of experiment I love: it meets you with whatever energy you bring to it.

Yes, you can take analog video selfies… but thanks to the divine insights of Mother Superior @clove.mp4, there’s much more to it — I’m so glad she’ll be presiding over the p̶s̶y̶c̶h̶i̶c̶ d̶o̶m̶i̶n̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ I mean, uh, divine redemption in Chicago, too (for those who consent to the ritual, of course). More details soon…

🌃 Chi locals be warned 🪽Mother Clove is already living among you 💒 keeping account of your deeds 📼 she could be anywhere at any time 👁️

At Cobra on Thursday 2/23 — the eve of everybody’s favorite TV murder — PARAN01A presents GARMONB0Z1A! ☕️

In addition to our usual fare, I’ll be joined by @ichabod__ of @fascination_street_nashville who’ll be laying down some classic goth tracks, with Lynchian ambiance + Twin Peaks on the screen. Costumes encouraged, and as always, no cover!

(This is the first of some theme nights we’d like to put on a couple times a year at PARAN01A — come out and dance so we can keep ‘em coming!)

🖤 Hide your hearts! FASCINATION STREET returns to The East Room on Saturday, February 12th, and the event page is now live!
.
This month, we aim our arrows at the heart of the lovers' holiday, both to drain and to bathe in the lifeblood of the season at hand, in our own contradictory way. The goth way. Expect a mix of romantic and acerbic odes to the subject, laced into our signature mix of new, current, and classic Goth, post-punk, deathrock, darkwave, coldwave, and batcave dance music.
.
Joining DJ Ichabod for this edition will be guest DJ Non Serviam, in his first appearance since our post-lockdown return last June. So invite your friends, share this post, and visit the event page to post any requests you have (link in our bio). We'll see you there!
