Today, I want to take a moment to honor Mr Rick, Forsayeth one of the greatest stunt coordinators in Canada. He was one of the original OG of stunts, a true pioneer in the industry, but more importantly, he was a genuinely good man with a big heart. I had the privilege of knowing Rick for several decades, and he took me under his wing during his time on Heroes Reborn. From that point forward, we collaborated on numerous projects, ultimately culminating in the final season of Umbrella Academy.

Rick wasn’t just a mentor; he was a role model who taught me the importance of dedication, creativity, and integrity in our craft. His passion for stunts was only matched by his kindness , dedication and humor, making every day on set a memorable experience. As we say goodbye, I find solace in knowing he is somewhere up there enjoying his Red Bulls and cigars, just as he loved to do.

We will miss you dearly, Rick. Your legacy will continue to inspire countless others in the industry. The Chang family will be forever grateful to you for your generosity and love. Sharing some pictures of good times over the years . Rest in peace, good friend and mentor.

Did you know that in Korean, it's called "Bungeo-ppang 붕어빵," which means identical? 🇰🇷

Reflecting upon this, I couldn't help but notice the incredible similarities between my daughter Mina and me when I was a kid. 💕 As a parent, we often find ourselves looking into our children's eyes and seeing ourselves gazing right back. It's like looking in a mirror! From our shared smiles to mannerisms, it's amazing how genetics and love intertwine to create an indescribable bond.
Is it me or do you see a resemblance between my daughter Mina and I?

QUARTERFINAL finish at the 2022 World Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico🇲🇽🏆.

I was ranked #2 in this event, matching with Korea first fight. There were some discrepancies with the scoring system/judges calls that made us go to the third round and going to judges decision (which I lost). Not to mention two headshots that clearly touched throughout the match, but didn’t register. Nevertheless, we pulled through and matched with Iran next in Round of 16. It was a challenging match having won the first round and losing the second, but we managed to reset and take it in the end. Meeting Uzbekistan for the bronze medal, I fell short losing 3-0 first round and 6-1 in the second.

It is understood that everybody wants to win and we know this is one of the most difficult stages in the sport. I truly wish I was able to have gone further, but I gave it my all regardless. I believe this has been my best world championship preparation and performance regardless of the circumstances having suffered an injury 3 weeks prior. I am very proud of all the work carried over into this event with my coach, trainers, sponsors and fellow teammates. Thank you everyone for supporting me and following my journey. I appreciate all your kind messages and heartfelt conversations. The love for this sport remains❤️‍🔥

The objective is still the same, God willing. We will come back even stronger! On to GRAND PRIX FINAL🔜🙏🏽🥇✨

Congratulations to our very own Noah Nasca from @bbwtkd_toronto for capturing the first medal at the Junior World Championship in Sofia BG for all of the Pam American region. They say it takes a village to raise a child, I couldn’t agree more. Noah started training with us at BBWTKD last year and had to relocate for few months. He came back after the Canadian National Team selection in April. We put him into a 5-6 days per week training 2-3 hours daily with his personal trainer and coach Master Yohan Chang @yohan19_ . Shortly after the Pam Am Championship, the junior team including @nithan6161 @sarangi, Noah, Dana,
Nick , kaden with other members were sent to GangHwa South Korea to train with the GangHwa Pro Team, high school and middle school lead by my brother Grand Master Yeum and his staff Master Yeum and Master Choi. They gave us their tools and shared their techniques and experience. We sent our coaching staff Master Carla Bacco @carlatkdcanada , Master Yohan, Master Hosoo, Master Yoseph and Master Melynda. Noah had the privilege to train with some of the best in Korea including world champion @bae.jun.seo and Korean National Champions. They trained daily 4-7 hours for last 22 days. I’ll like to acknowledge the commitments of Noah’s parents, Noah’s training partners specially Nithan and Sarangi, all of our athletes and parents, trainers in Canada and Korea as well as his coach at the worlds, who took the chair (Master Carla ). All of these people were there to create a World Championship Bronze Medalist.

Repost of the Original concept fight designed for Lila @rituarya and Number 5 @aidanrgallagher on Umbrella Academy Season 3. There were many individuals that were part of creating the final fight design including Mr Rick Forsayeth, @yohan19_ , @y0sephchang @robgallagherx and not to forget that our casts had a lot of say in this design. Both @aidanrgallagher and @rituarya were part of creating this epic bathroom fight scene.
They actually pulled it off and did a marvellous job . So proud of them..

Cinematography is hardly the work of one person. It is the cumulative effect of the efforts of dozens, and in some cases, hundreds of people: from the writers and producers who work tirelessly to bring the projects to light, to the office staff and accountants that make sure it’s all bought and paid for, to the drivers who make sure everything and everyone is where they need to be, the prep crew who stay a step ahead, the cast and, of course, the entire shooting crew who bring it all to life. With that in mind, I would like to congratulate the entire Umbrella Academy family for the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Award they were awarded over the weekend. None of it would have happened without them. I’m so grateful to have collaborated with each and every one. @canadiancinematographer #umbrellaacademy
