some of my reading goals for 2024 ♡ though I’m not sure how I’ supposed to read 5 book series when I know I’m a slow reader and will probably have to push to reach 30, because I definitely wanna read some stand-alones here and there but whatever 😂

What about you? Is there a particular goal you’ve set for yourself for this year?

5⭐ Masterpiece!
At first I was a little unsure because Caraval series got me into reading and there I hated Jacks so I thought I wouldn't like this one bc he's a main character. However, I loved it❤️ it literally consumed me!!
Evangeline's broken past, her faith in her mother's fairytales and most of all the way she always saw sth good in every person. How she wanted Marisol to go with her in the North so she could save her from her cruel mother, she even made a deal with a Fate to save her sister's wedding. Even tho she had "stolen" her boy... Loved the way she stayed with Jacks in the mausoleum while she knew, that it could have a tragic end. What really caught me -and everyone else who had read it- off guard was how unexpectedly Apollo proposed. I was like whattt??? But then everything came clear... Kinda hated Marisol tho when Evangeline forgived her and she just gave her to the guards...
Jacks... I remember Jacks from Caraval being awful (but hot). This Jacks was hot (but awful). It's this difference that I spotted and for me it explained everything (idk if it makes sense tho). As much as I want to hate him, he makes it practically impossible to do so. I could hate him all I wanted in Caraval, but here no.💗 @stephanie_garber really made a miracle again❤️❤️✨
