There’s a new face joining us at Ritual, and we’re so happy to welcome Nicole to the community! ✨

A longtime practitioner and teacher, Nicole’s approach to movement has been shaped by more than 20 years of yoga, a professional career in dance, Pilates, somatic movement, and mindfulness mediation.

Her love of yoga and holistic movement began during her career as a professional dancer and receiving her MFA in Dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After yoga and Pilates were recommended to help support chronic overuse injuries, what began as a way to care for her body became a lifelong practice and path of teaching.

Nicole completed her 200-hour yoga training through the White Lotus Foundation, followed by a 500-hour certification through YogaWorks, a comprehensive STOTT Pilates certification, and most recently, a two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training facilitated by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.

Today, she brings these practices together through yoga, mindfulness, somatic movement, and a sprinkle of Pilates, creating space to feel more connected in mind, body, and spirit. Her intention is simple and beautiful: may you feel safe, free, joyous, and at home in your practice.

Nicole will be subbing her first class at the studio tonight - Yin from 7–8:15pm. Come slow down, settle in, and welcome her to the Ritual community!

Will we see you there?!

Join Sagrada Wellness for our annual New Year’s Yoga, Hiking and Live Music retreat in Central Coast California!

This retreat is a nurturing blend of Yin Yoga, vinyasa, gentle Hatha and Pranayama. Begin each day hiking on one of our nearby picturesque trails. These guided hikes will explore some of the best unspoiled scenery in all of California. In the late afternoon enjoy the yoga class followed by restorative yoga postures that will leave you feeling grounded and at peace. As we embark on our inward journey of renewal, guests feel a deeper sense of connectedness to oneself and the beautiful nature that surrounds the Sagrada Wellness retreat sanctuary.

Relax in our reflection garden, by the healing saline pool or bask in the warm hot tub.

Nicole Currie (@refresh_holistic) and Tony Khalife bring to Sagrada a truly holistic, spiritual integration of yoga, music and ceremony. The weekend begins with the setting of intention and inviting clarity into the practice. As the weekend unfolds, you are guided to move joyfully and powerfully towards realizing these resolutions and expansions of your authentic self through yoga, meditation, and sacred ceremony. You will return home feeling clear, vibrant, centered and rejuvenated on all levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

It is with honor and gratitude to welcome you to this upcoming sacred retreat. You are invited to find your seat at our table and become a member of the Sagrada (sacred) Family. During the entirety of our journey together, you are held in a safe, energetic container that facilitates personal connection to deepening the transformative practices of Yoga, which is simply connection to the Whole of Life-- uniting body, mind, Spirit of Nature, delicious nourishing food, and community.

All levels welcome. Beginners to Advanced.

This is our 3rd annual Sagrada retreat in Iceland. We’ve made sweet new friends from Latvia, Germany, Guatemala, California, Colorado and Connecticut. This island is filled with magic, beauty and mysticism and we all felt this authenticity. We are sad to say goodbye but know we’re all ready to open our wings and land on our next creative expression in life.

Calling all desk workers 📣

Are you experiencing mid/upper back or shoulder pain when sitting or working at your desk?

📚If so then you’re definitely going to want to save this one📚

Over time sitting in a rounded shoulders, forward head position (like most people do when working or sitting at desk) can start to cause some discomfort in the neck, shoulders and upper back

When we do this over long periods of time it can also cause some weakness in the muscles that do hold you in an upright position, which further just adds to the problem

If you’re experiencing any shoulder, upper back or neck pain throughout your day go ahead and give these moves a try!

*bonus* Get up and move! Move frequently and move often - our bodies aren’t meant to sit still and be in one single position for hours at a time.

SAVE this post and give these moves a try!
