POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last week I joined @mayoreileenhiggins and her team at the Develop to Serve summit to learn about land development for growing community in Urban & suburban spaces in Miami! 🍊🐊
An initiative launched by City of #Miami officials (led by Commissioner/Mayor Eileen Higgins) to help faith-based organizations and nonprofits utilize their unused or underutilized land for community benefits.

Groups with land were walked through the process of turning their land into infrastructure that can support local communtiy growth.
- connection to financial institutions
- matching with experienced & aligned land developers
- support with new permitting to fast track the process
- hearing from others who have & are doing it successfully

- if you are a land developer in Miami wanting to integrate technology to your process
- have access to land you'd like to build community serving housing for - are motivated to make a positive impact in Miami housing

let's connect!

Key Details of the Initiative

• Primary Goal: Guide 3 to 5 anchor institutions (such as churches and non-profit groups) through advisory and shepherding processes to develop property.
• Core Purpose: Build essential #community infrastructure—like affordable housing, childcare centers, community gardens, and health clinics—without forcing organizations to sell their properties.
• Develop to Serve Summit: An informational and networking event held in October 2026 (including sessions at Miami Dade College) to connect organizations with resources, urban planners, and guidance.

If you are part of a local nonprofit or faith-based organization, let me know

From Cacao to the Social Web

This November, ACTopia brings 20–25 people together at Protopia’s regenerative jungle farm in Costa Rica for a month of living, learning and developing projects together.

We started Protopia to contribute to a more equal, sustainable and collaborative world; a place to develop creative ideas together.
Collectively owned enterprises, technology and social science are our background and passion.

So, come learn and build with us.

LOCAL — LA CABANGA CHOCOLATE
Develop a cooperative chocolate business model, exploring the local context, ownership, production, branding and financing.

GLOBAL — THE SOCIAL WEB
Map the Fediverse, understand what exists and what’s missing, and identify an opportunity worth developing. Work toward a business model, prototype and funding strategy.

AI SYSTEMS
With Oscar from @regen.tribe, we'll build AI second brains for interested participants, Protopia and the two projects—organizing our knowledge to support research and development.

Researchers, practitioners and people behind interesting projects will join us to share their experience.

And all of this happens inside the normal rhythm of Protopia:
Morning movement. Shared meals. Your own work. Jungle and waterfalls. A weekly trip to explore Costa Rica. Friday nights with music, dancing and fire.

Inspired by Paulo Freire, we learn through dialogue, shared experience and putting ideas into practice.

Nov 9 – Dec 8, 2026 · Protopia, Costa Rica

Message us for a short call. Let’s get to know each other and see if ACTopia is a good fit

OK, we're officially in the future 🤖👾💚
since arriving back at homebase in Miami I've been able to dive into working with AI and building an autonomous agent

what you're saying here is an AI powering a full agent harness
Living on a virtual computer in the cloud so they are always on and I can interact with they via my telegram (i think they works for an ai)

It is logging all of our conversations and mapping It's understanding to the world on that visual graph that you see there.

In addition to them helping me, I've created an AI agent that they uses for software development

Sidenote, my personal agent has named themself Quinn
And #quinn is using Claude Code also running on that cloud server
And the two of them are currently mapping their understanding of the universe on that visual representation knowledge graph

We're in the future
if you are interested in #AI working in AI or wanting to learn how to do any of this, I'm pretty excited to talk about it so feel free to DM me

1,000 is not a number.
It’s a village in becoming. 🌍✨

Around the world, the @ecovillage (Global Ecovillage Network, @regen.tribe and IC.org connects over 1,000 ecovillages and intentional communities —
places where people are already living new stories of togetherness.

Now imagine this:

1,000 communities × 1,000 people
= 1,000,000 humans

choosing cooperation over competition,
care over extraction,
community over isolation.

At this time of the year,
when lights appear in the darkness
and we remember what truly matters,
we celebrate 1,000 of us.

Not followers.
A community.

Our purpose is community.
Our vision is living villages —
rooted in land, joy, and shared responsibility.

If you feel the warmth of this vision,
step closer.
Show yourself. ❤️
The future grows where people gather.

Merry Christmas from our hearts to yours 🎄🤍
