We need to spend SO much more time asking children and young people what they want and need from the cities they will inherit. Or rather the cities they already use but have limited control over.

I have been thinking about this a lot in relation to my own children and, while I think 4 and 5 year olds are PRECISELY the people we should be asking about what the future of the built world should look like, chatting to young people with a bit more life experience and impulse control is probably more conducive to a panel discussion.

So please join us for the next Innovative Breakfast Club on November 4th when ING Media and I will be hosting this excellent event (complete with pesto swirls) as we invite the next generation to grill some industry stalwarts on our global cities as well as offer some suggestions as to how we can improve them. Tickets available via Eventbrite.

We enjoyed welcoming Regeneration Brainery to Regency Works, our Kirkstall Road development in Leeds.

The group took part in a site walk, learned more about the development lifecycle and finished the day with a design challenge, putting their ideas into practice.

Thank you to the Regeneration Brainery team for joining us. It was a valuable opportunity to share our experience and offer insight into the work involved in bringing a development like Regency Works to life.

The property industry has really embraced the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series 💚

With talks from @5plusarchitects and @placenorthwest , we brought the sector together at @cloud23bar, @mcrdeansgatehotel, to connect, share ideas and experience what workplace wellbeing can look like in action.

We then led the room through a 3-minute guided meditation, giving a room full of industry leaders the chance to pause, connect and reset together.

A brilliant afternoon with a sector that is genuinely getting behind workplace wellbeing.

And this is just the start. 💚🐝

On 22 October, Greater Manchester will come together for something much bigger:

The Greater Manchester Meditation.

The world’s first region-wide workplace meditation.

Want to be part of it? Find out more via the link in our bio.👆

🤝 We were delighted to welcome the team from @regenbrainery down to Todmorden last month to chat about the impact they’re having on young people and the construction industry.

Operations director for the north Laura Stott, student liaison manager Sarah Hughes and student outreach coordinator Mo Martin made the trip to @ratcliffe_dj’s ‘other’ project @beernecessitiestodmorden.

Damien is a long-time supporter of Regeneration Brainery and has spent hours over the last few years helping to mentor young people at sessions and workshops across the North.

We had a great week welcoming Alisha Umran into out studio from the excellent @regenbrainery initiative

The Regeneration Brainery is a not-for-profit academy that runs bootcamps across the UK, aimed at boosting diversity in the property and regeneration sectors through building awareness and developing opportunities for young people in the industry.

Alisha, who attends Stoke on Trent College, Cauldon Campus, came to our Shrewsbury studio for a week of work experience after attending a bootcamp at the Good’s Yard in Stoke, a project by @capitalcentric, one of the Regeneration Brainery’s co-founders.

During her week at Camlins, Alisha spent a day with two other work experience students from Telford College where they were given an introduction to landscape architecture.

Alisha then spent a morning on site in Doncaster where Camlins are working with Capital & Centric before spending the rest of the week supporting the project lead on the concept and early planning stages, helping to explore the potential for the design of the site.

We were incredibly impressed with Alisha’s commitment all week and hope we have inspired a future landscape architect!

Our thanks to Howard Metcalf at Pierre Angulaire, for helping to facilitate the placement and we look forward to supporting the Regeneration Brainery again in the future.

Ten of our construction students had the chance to go on work experience with the Regeneration Brainy project. They explored careers in the built environment, developed skills, and worked on real projects. Whoop! 🙌

Two of our Real Estate Society members, Nikki and Leo, attended a coffee morning with Regeneration Brainery.

A great opportunity to learn more about careers in the built environment and connect with others in the industry.

As we gear up for our tenth year as MIPIM’s official communications partner, we brought industry leaders together in London for the annual #MIPIM Preview.

Jake Tappenden‑Lowe (@mipim_world), Brendon Frye (@cbre_uk), Michele Steel (@regenbrainery) and Damian Wild (@ingmedia_) shared forward‑looking perspectives on the themes shaping MIPIM 2026 — from the evolving investment landscape and future of talent to the role of regeneration and the UK’s priorities on the global stage.

Their insights set the tone for what promises to be a pivotal year for the industry.
