A little recap from SETTLE: The Retreat, of course the photos and videos cannot fully give justice to what our group of women experienced. I’m so grateful for our gracious host who not only fed our bodies, but also our souls. @kalunafarmretreat

This experience, although was work for me, it did not feel like it at all, as I also felt the love from everyone around me, including the two facilitators who joined us on day three @reidybrown and @shelbyadina

Shout out to our partners who helped create the special welcome tote bag for each guest @justaddhoney @maisonpalosanto .

In a world that is busy and noisy, I hope you too find space and time to go out in nature, be in community and above all get a moment to SETTLE. #settlewithjess #settletheretreat #womenwellness

Sometimes I take life way too seriously.

And then I remember…

I’m the first woman in my bloodline to let JOY✨ become part of the inheritance.

Not anxiety from constantly rushing.
Not emotional exhaustion from over-functioning.
Not trauma dressed up as “that’s just how women in our family are.”

And definitely not my toxic traits…

Except always being right. 💁🏻‍♀️

I’m allowed to be silly.
I’m allowed to be creative.
I’m allowed to be playful, lighthearted, soft, loud, weird, radiant, and free.

And honestly?

I think more women should give themselves permission to be a little less composed and a lot more ALIVE⚡️

Be silly.
Be creative.
Be playful.
Be lighthearted.
Be fun.

Joy is not frivolous.
Joy is what I’m passing forward.

And if you’re ready to stop inheriting survival and start practicing self-trust, boundaries, nervous system safety, and inner authority…Sovereign Skills was created for that becoming.

Comment “SOVEREIGN” and I’ll send you the details for Sovereign Skills.

There’s a tightness that shows up in my chest sometimes when I go to invite people into something I care about.

Sometimes it’s connected to visibility, an old fear of rejection, or something else that I don’t have to try to understand. Instead of pushing through it or pretending it wasn’t there, I named it. I told my coaches. I told Tracy.

I believe naming it out loud without trying to fix it and coming back to myself through self compassion, grace, breath and mediation let it move.

So today, love is winning. If it didn’t then you wouldn’t be watching this video with falling sparkles that I don’t know how to remove - evidence that I have really moved through the fear and knowing that getting this invitation to the people who need it is more important than caring about how polished (or short) my video is 🤩

Tracy and I have created something we both believe in, a space for women to receive, to be held, to come home to themselves. And I get to invite you into it with an open chest and an open heart instead of a tight one.

Coming Home to Yourself is here, and we would love to hold space for you in it.

What exactly is Reiki?

If you've ever wondered, "Do I have to believe in it for it to work?" the answer is no.

Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that encourages deep relaxation. During a session, you'll remain fully clothed while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body.

Many people describe feeling:
✨ Warmth
✨ A sense of calm
✨ Emotional release
✨ Better sleep afterward
✨ Like they've finally taken a deep breath

At SETTLE: The Retreat, Reiki isn't about "fixing" you. It's about creating space for your body to soften, your nervous system to slow down, and your mind to become a little quieter.

Sometimes healing isn't about doing more.
Sometimes it's about allowing yourself to receive.

🤍 Tracy Brown will guide our Reiki experience as part of our weekend together.

On social media it’s easy to see people who look like they have it all figured out. Some days I catch myself avoiding it for that exact reason.

What I’ve learned, over and over, is that it’s the vulnerable moments, the honest ones, that bring people closer to me. Not the polished ones.

So today I want to invite you into something I’m cohosting with my friend and fellow coach, Tracy Brown. It’s called Coming Home to Yourself, a 90 minute experience in nervous system regulation and Holy Fire® Reiki.

I’ll say it plainly: the work we create is the work we’ve needed ourselves. We aren’t always certain. We aren’t always confident. We’re growing right alongside you, and learning to release what no longer serves us is part of that.

This is for you if you’re feeling dysregulated and you know there’s more waiting on the other side of it. Come as you are.

Thursday, August 20. Link in bio. I can’t wait to hold this space with you.

Being open to receive is not easy or natural for those of us who have consistently poured into everyone else and everything else around us.

And, yet, we know the value of self care and self love so that you can give from overflow, not depletion.

Join @reidybrown and me on 8/20 for an experience of nervous system regulation and Reiki. Come as you are and allow us to support you.

I’m tired of women pushing through, just trying to make it to the end while becoming more and more depleted.

A reframe I’ve been sitting with:
⚡️Powering through opens up the door to build resilience and stamina to navigate the inevitable waves of life, career and motherhood.

Do you find that you push through or power through?

SETTLE:

A workshop created for your nervous system. The one that is protecting you and keeping you alive also deserves a rest. A reset.

Through somatic practices including movement, sound healing, breathwork and meditation, journaling and time to integrate and share tea with a stranger, SETTLE offers you tools and a space, to just be.

Over the last year and a half I have had the honor to lead SETTLE and co-lead it with amazingly talented and beautiful holistic practitioners both in FL and Atlanta.

For the first time ever I am sharing SETTLE as a full weekend retreat, and invited two of the practitioners I have worked with to share their gifts and passions. @reidybrown @shelbyadina

The weekend is curated with music, offerings, and free time in nature for women to come and be taken care of. From the food, to the lodging, to the welcome gifts, and each detail specifically for women who are doing all the things for everyone. @justaddhoney @maisonpalosanto
