First order of business as soon as I checked in: ordering a bowl of hot wonton noodles for room service. Really the only correct way to kick off a Hong Kong staycation! 🇭🇰🍜✨

The newly refreshed @mo_landmarkhk is so effortlessly chic, it feels less like a hotel and more like staying in a gorgeous private apartment. Between the serene sanctuary of my L600 Suite and the wonderfully warm, intuitive service from the team, checking out after three nights was genuinely heartbreaking. 🥹🤍

The location couldn’t be more perfect for serious shopping and eating. 🍽️🍷🛍️ You’re connected directly to Landmark and just a short walk from some of the best restaurants in the city!

A few staycation highlights:

✨ Luxuriating in those heavenly @amouageofficial bath amenities 🧖‍♀️

✨ Having three-Michelin-star dining right downstairs at @amberhongkong 🌟🌟🌟

✨ Champagne tower toasts every night at @blancdenoirs_hk 🥂🍾

✨ The most amazing financiers at The Communal, where they also serve good coffee from Hazel & Hershey! 🥧☕️

Thank you, MO The Landmark, for this little slice of luxury right in the heart of Central! ❤️

A Suite Life, Seven Michelin Stars & Champagne! 🥂

Behind its striking terracotta-tiled façade in the heart of Central, Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong is a masterclass in contemporary luxury, designed by Joyce Wang. A city retreat where exceptional design, gastronomy and understated indulgence come together beautifully.

My L600 suite was a residential-style sanctuary for a few days, with cloud-soft bedding, a generous soaking tub and indulgent Amouage amenities. The culinary scene is equally compelling, with seven Michelin stars on the seventh floor, led by Richard Ekkebus’s three Michelin-starred Amber, alongside an impressive collection of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinking experiences.

We wrapped up our evenings at BLANC DE NOIRS, with a champagne fountain ritual that added a sparkling flourish to the stay.

Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong reopened in June after a full renovation led once again by Joyce Wang, the Hong Kong interior architect who now draws on the terracotta and deep greens of the city’s old residences and gardens. The arrival sequence borrows from the grand homes of Hong Kong’s past, so stepping in from Queen’s Road Central feels less like checking in and more like being let into a private address.

The L600 Executive Junior Suite gives each part of the day its own corner across 56 square metres, with a separate lounge, a proper work desk, a walk in wardrobe and walls in hand painted silk. The hotel’s signature curved glass bathroom stays, wrapped around a seven foot round bathtub that makes the shower feel like an afterthought, while the bed is dressed in 530 thread count Quivera linen.

Amber on the seventh floor remains the reason many guests book, with Dutch born Richard Ekkebus earning a third Michelin star in 2025 after sixteen years at two. Since the 2019 reinvention his French cooking has run without dairy or gluten, built on produce from regional farmers and fishermen, and the tasting menu shows how little either was ever needed when technique carries the weight.

Blanc de Noirs, the new 30 seat champagne bar under Ekkebus, pours 25 champagnes by the glass from a 500 label cellar, with Amber’s 3,000 label list on call for anyone who wants to go further. The nightly Champagne O’Clock fountain brings a little theatre, and the Beaufort gougères and charcuterie carved to order on a Berkel slicer are reason enough to linger past a first glass.

With L600 rates including a daily dining credit, the distance between suite and seventh floor is a short lift ride and a lighter bill, and few hotels in Hong Kong put three Michelin stars and a serious champagne list this close to the bathtub.

Every season at #CenturionNewYork, I invite a chef to join me for an evening, and last week we had the pleasure of welcoming three-Michelin-starred Chef Richard Ekkebus @rekkebus from @amberhongkong at @mo_landmarkhk.
Together, we prepared beautiful seasonal fall dishes, featuring Amber’s signature Aka Uni dish and celebrating the beginning of white truffle season.
Richard’s cuisine uses local, organic produce, as well as sustainably harvested seafood, and his vision is truly inspiring, blending French cuisine with the vibrant flavours of Hong Kong!
Congratulations, and thank you for such a great evening cooking together with our Executive Chef @rodrigocamposchef and Pastry Chef @jeanne.lecourt.

A New Champagne Chapter in Central 🥂 @blancdenoirs_hk

Champagne bars are having a moment in Hong Kong—but Blanc de Noirs at Mandarin Oriental Landmark @mo_landmarkhk makes a compelling case for staying all night🫶🏻

The first Blanc de Noirs Champagne bar pairs dramatic black-and-white ⚫️⚪️marble interiors with an electric, celebratory atmosphere: the kind of place made for a spontaneous midweek toast or an elevated night gathering. With 25 Champagnes by the glass and a cellar of rare bottles, there is plenty to explore beyond the usual familiar labels.

This time, Alexandre Bonnet was fresh, dry and mineral-driven, with bright red-fruit notes and a clean finish. Egly-Ouriet was richer and rounder, with soft brioche, orchard fruit and a delicious savoury depth. Two very different expressions, both excellent—and exactly why ordering by the glass here is so rewarding❤️‍🔥

With Chef Richard Ekkebus @rekkebus guiding the kitchen, the bar menu is every bit as compelling as the Champagne list. The Fried Chicken 🐓with Ranch Dressing is crisp, juicy and irresistibly moreish, while the Fillet o Fish with Ravigote Mayo🍔—seared MSC-certified toothfish in a soft milk bun—is an absolute must-order.
End with La Crème Nuage🍨: silky Hokkaido milk soft serve, Manni extra-virgin olive oil and Maldon sea salt in one deceptively simple, unforgettable spoonful.

Arrive before 10 pm for Champagne O’Clock🥂, when the room comes together for a collective toast. Come for a glass; stay for the energy, the food and the excuse to celebrate. Will definitely return for more !

👍🏻 Recommendations:
- Ricotta & bottarga
- Fried chicken with caviar
- Fillet o Fish
- Homemade Hokkaido Milk Soft Serve with Manni Olive Oil
