she has bloomed through the mud
emerging through to skin
survival of the fittest
looking for the Light
stretching open for air.

a time now to soften and unfurl

to churn a new story
from the most tender
and silly
and protected place in my heart

a new book of celebration
a new language of self expression
piercing through pockets
of the stormy pasts
and disappearing
with the winds

in to the night
