#STUDENTNEWS ⭐️ - We want to take some time to highlight rising junior Design and Production student, Ren Kosiorowski!

Ren has spent the summer with The Santa Fe Opera as a Props Paint Apprentice. They painted props for the company’s 5 operas and then served as the Props Paint Charge for the opera’s Apprentice Scenes. They are currently running 2 shows, both of which close this week!

We are so proud of you Ren! Go Blue!💙💛

What an absolute dream it was to design and help build my very first opera at none other than the @santafeopera
I got to design a scene from Albert Herring, and another scene from Ariadne Auf Naxos.

As proud as I am, absolutely nothing could have been achieved without the amazing and fundamental support I received from everyone who had a part in this. Over 30 people had a direct involvement in the creation and direction of just my two scenes alone.

I want to give special thanks to both of my directors:
@michelleacuizon and @alison_pogorelc

I’d also like to give special thanks to my friend and partner in this production: @cal_pal0235 as well as my mentor who put so much effort and time: Todd Zonderman.

Thank you so much for everything Santa Fe. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

First semester is almost over and I am so happy with my decision. Theatre is truly my passion and I absolutely love working (paid) in the scene shop. I can wait to see what comes next semester!
