‘She Surfs’ is inspired by the orange sunsets & surf culture in Eastern Canada 🏄 🌅

This painting was matched with a dark grey blue fabric ~ just like the black rocks soaked by the waves. 🪨 🌊

You are buying them faster than I could finish this carousel 🎠 🐚 🌊

We are honoured and so thrilled that collection two has been loved by so many near and far! 🗺️

We will be at @christmasattheforum and @evergreenfestns this year so be sure to find us, show us how good you look in your favourite pieces, and get some for your friends.

Even better, bring them! Tickets are available now for Christmas At The Forum on their website ( Link in their bio )

Now back to this amazing mock neck sweater! Inspired by the incredible details and patterns that cover so many different species of seashells. I constantly use the little book that my mom got when she was younger than me! Published in the 1950s, this book is filled with so many beautiful drawings and pieces of information. I’m honoured to have it and keep it safe. I use it for references often. 📕 🌊 🐚

Painted using acrylic paint and paint markers. I layered colour after colour of loose line work, at the end I always tighten up the edges.
Once I’ve done that I’m able to capture it and create a printable file.
At this stage, I can take the original piece and alter the tones of my painting to achieve our desired final output.

Printing using DTG allows us to never settle on how much colour we use while producing high quality garments & printing.
No heat press, no screen printing, the painting is printed directly onto the fabric.

Every piece starts as an original painting / drawing by me ( @rendesignca )

I love painting seashells and staring at their incredibly detailed shells and creating my own whimsy version of it.

This piece has been a favour amongst those I’m lucky enough to have collect my work 🖼️

We knew when planning collections for Dear Ocean, that this piece, an original artwork by me ( @rendesignca ) would be something we’d want to use more than once.

However, we did not want to repeat the design the same way. The original piece was painted on a red background ( my favourite ) for the hoodie, I isolated the boat and its reflection from the red background. Creating the sense that the sweater is the water and boat is anchored there at the buoy, reflecting off the stillness. ☀️ 🛥️

The original piece is printed with the full background on our canvas tote bag + it features a couple lobsters 🦞 going down the sides of the bag.

I painted and sold the original a long time ago at the @hfxbrewerymarket ~ one of my favourite places on earth 🛍️ I wonder who has it 👀

The Mackerel T-Shirt 🐟 🐟 ~ Painting these fish was a lot of fun.

I really enjoy trying capture the texture, skin, and all of the line work that makes up the pattern of a mackerel.

These pieces are all hand painted using acrylic 🎨
Everything starts as a sketch ✍️ 🖌️and slowly it morphs into a finished drawing that we print directly to the garment.

Feeling extra grateful this Thanksgiving 🤍

I wanted to give some love to a few of the local businesses that have become part of my everyday life. Places I go all the time, things I genuinely love and some really wonderful people I’ve gotten to know along the way.

Our morning coffee, Saturday chocolate croissants, my favourite spicy margarita, skincare, jewellery… there are a lot of favourites on this list.

A little love for
