Big day in Parliament yesterday!

🇮🇪 Meet with Ambassador of Ireland to Australia, H.E. Ms Fiona Flood and celebrated 80 Years of Diplomatic relations between Ireland and Australia.

🚑 Heard from the President of Australasian College for Emergency Medicine Dr Peter Allely, on his critical recommendations for caring for Australia’s ageing population.

👫 Sophie Howe, former Commissioner for Future Generations in Wales, shared early insights from the National Conversations Development Lab on youth pilot programs running across the country.

🏫 Great to see students from the Brisbane electorate @brisbanegirlsgrammar & @stagathasschool who have travelled to Canberra to tour Parliament House and learn about the importance of democracy and how Australia is governed.

The right to work matters when you’re trying to support yourself and plan a future while seeking asylum.

Welcoming Australia’s Arian Rezaei was in Canberra today, standing up for refugee rights with our friends at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and Refugee Advice & Casework Service (RACS).

Drawing on his lived experience, Arian spoke up for work rights and fairer policies affecting people seeking asylum, reminding politicians that their decisions reach into people’s everyday lives.

Thank you, Arian, for bringing your experience and advocacy to these conversations, and to our friends at ASRC and RACS for their continued work.

A SEASON WORTH CELEBRATING! ❤️🤍🖤

On Saturday night, we celebrated the 2026 season in style at our @remingtonsinsurance Best & Fairest evening, held at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club!

A wonderful opportunity to reflect on a fantastic year, recognise the achievements of our players and acknowledge the hard work, dedication and commitment that make our club what it is.

Thank you to @remingtonsinsurance for their continued support of our club and Best & Fairest evening!

To our incredible sponsors, coaches, volunteers and everyone who has been part of the Panthers journey this season, thank you for everything you do!

A special thank you to our MC, Chris Yeend, for hosting and helping make the night such a success! 🎤

As parents and educators, we all just want our kids to grow up to be healthy, happy kids. And for them to be safe.

But right now, with our kids faced by literally millions of toxic messages every week, many of us don’t even understand how to keep them safe. We don’t even know what we don’t know.

Which is why I asked @lastoftheromans (Daniel Principe) to speak at my Parent Forum last night. One of the foremost youth educators in Australia right now.

How do we champion our boys into becoming good men?

How do we have open conversations with our kids to understand things like the Cornell 7, the Sydney Swans, Sam Woods?

How do they know what a healthy relationship looks like with themselves and others, when they have so much coming at them that promotes toxic relationships?

How do we help them feel good about who they are when so much is telling them what “perfect” looks like.

These and so many other questions are what Daniel covered last night in the Bulimba State School.

And you could have heard a pin drop.

Thanks so much Daniel for starting the conversation with us. We all need to now keep it going.

Such a great crowd at our community BBQ tonight. And that was even despite the wind!

@reneecoffeymp and @crlucycollier and I just love the chance to do these community events together. And the chance to help solve a whole lot of issues for people at the same time. And even just to have the good chats and hear how people are going in general. It’s magic.

Thanks to everyone who came along! 🥰🥰
