Let me ask you something.

How many times have you gotten close to the very thing you wanted and then pulled away from it?

Maybe you never submitted the application.

Maybe you convinced yourself the opportunity wasn’t the right time.

Maybe you created distance in a relationship the moment it started becoming real.

Maybe you suddenly became busy with everything except the thing that mattered.

Most people call that self-sabotage.

But many times, it is self-protection.

Because somewhere along the way, you learned that vulnerability, visibility, success, intimacy, or change could cost you something.

So, the pattern became:
Pull back before you can be disappointed.
Disconnect before you can be hurt.
Hesitate before you fail.

The problem is:
The same pattern that once protected you can eventually start limiting you.

And eventually, survival patterns begin costing you the life you want.

Awareness is the threshold.
Movement is what changes things.
Give me a 👍 if you can relate.

I want to share something one of my clients said to me last week.

She'd just had a breakthrough moment, one of those sessions where you can literally see the shift happening in real time, she paused and said:

"I've been standing in this doorway for three years. I could see where I wanted to go, but I couldn't make myself step through.

In 75 minutes, you helped me understand why I was stuck AND gave me permission to finally cross over the threshold."

These threshold moments, when someone goes from paralyzed to powerful? From stuck to stepping forward? This is the heart of my work.

And they're reminding me that transformation isn't about having all the answers before you start. It's about learning to trust yourself enough to step into the unknown.
