As Co-Chairs of the Ukraine Caucus, @repmarcykaptur, @repbrianfitz, @repjoewilson, and I unequivocally condemn Russia’s reckless and illegal violation of Polish airspace and its ongoing brutal and illegal attacks on Ukraine.

In a time of immense political division, we must stand together on this truly bipartisan issue of national and international security. Read our statement here.

Both Republicans and Democrats know that firearms shouldn’t be sold without a background check. That’s why I met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill this week — Congress must act now to keep silencers out of the wrong hands.

We’re willing to bet this was the cutest meeting these Members of Congress have had on their calendar in a while. But it was also one of the most important.

Thank you to our Members of Congress for taking the time to meet with the families who joined us for Strolling Thunder. Your willingness to listen, to hear their stories, their struggles, and their hopes for their babies, matters deeply.

For many of these parents and caregivers, this was their first time on Capitol Hill. They spoke about child care they can’t afford, mental health support they can’t find, the Medicaid and SNAP coverage they depend on, and the dreams they hold for their children’s futures. And you listened.

By showing up and hearing them out, you reminded families that their voices belong in these rooms. That their lived experience deserves a seat at the table. That policymaking can, and should, begin with the people it affects most.

We are grateful that you stood with these Strolling Thunder families and for helping carry their stories forward.

Add your voice. Urge your Members of Congress to not only protect — but invest in — programs that infants and toddlers need to thrive.

The U.S. House passed (216-212) a Congressional Review Act resolution that removes protections on 7 of the world’s most dangerous & deadly pollutants for 1,800 of the nation’s worst industrial polluters. All Democrats & 1 Republican, @repbrianfitz , voted against this devastating blow to Clean Air Act protections.

🏛️ Pennsylvania Realtors® took their voices to Washington, DC!

They met with federal officials to advocate for key policy issues that impact homeowners, the real estate industry and our communities across the Commonwealth.

📢 When Realtors® speak, policymakers listen.

@conniewhalen4 “Mentoring the Travis Manion Foundation Clubs at Council Rock North High School and Council Rock South over the past few years has truly been a privilege!

Watching these students grow as leaders and people of character has been one of the most rewarding parts of my TMF journey.

This year’s annual Council Rock 5K run was a shining example of what happens when young people come together with passion and purpose. It was more than a fundraiser, it was a mission to prove that when students understand that their CHARACTER matters, their VOICES matter and ACTIONS matter… they have the power to unite a community! And in that realization, amazing things happen🙌🏼

Students coordinating this event between 2 different high schools, balancing packed schedules and diverse commitments, over the last 9 months is no small task. But these students leaned into their character strengths of leadership and teamwork and they pulled off something truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to @jmjabin for delivering powerful opening remarks and to Congressman @repbrianfitz for helping close the day with a message that honored the students’ dedication and impact.

To the TMF Club graduating seniors… best of luck as you begin your college journeys! I am so proud of your commitment to build a sustainability plan that will carry the mission of your TMF clubs forward. Your legacy of leadership is already making a difference, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you next!”

Just departed Kuwait, where I was able to spend the day with servicemembers from across the nation, including RI National Guardsmen & women.

Especially thankful that I was able to see Pawtucket resident Staff Sergeant Max Silva, who works as our Veterans Affairs Advocate in my Pawtucket office. I was able to bring gifts from his family, including his daughter, who are spending the holidays without him. ‪Stay tuned for updates on our surprise visit to spend the holidays with troops stationed in the Middle East.‬
