I’m filled with immense gratitude to receive a Kathy Casavant Women in Leadership Award from the Massachusetts AFL-CIO.

At last night’s Education Conference Awards Banquet, we gathered with labor leaders and union members from across the Commonwealth to celebrate the people and organizations fighting every day for working families.

I’m especially honored to receive this recognition alongside Representative Marjorie Decker and Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphys.

Thank you to the Massachusetts AFL-CIO for this incredible honor, and for all you do to uplift working people and strengthen the labor movement across Massachusetts. I’m proud to stand with you.

It was so inspiring this afternoon to see dozens of Harvard students getting ready to knock on doors and talk to Cambridge voters about why they are so excited to reelect Governor Maura Healey and support #Democrats up and down the ballot!

ONE hearing.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is using her Senate Aging Committee hearing to talk about a health transition that impacts 51% of the population and can affect us for 30–40% of our lives.

And somehow, judging by the comments on The New York Times article, even that is too much attention for menopausal women.

Perimenopause and menopause are bipartisan. They affect our health, our families, our workplaces, our economy and our healthcare system.

Our government manages countless priorities every single day. Devoting ONE hearing to menopause isn’t a waste of time.

The fact that anyone thinks it is tells us exactly why this hearing is necessary.

Thank you, Senator Gillibrand, for putting menopause before Congress. It’s about damn time.

Happy 19th Anniversary to my lovely wife Marjorie Decker. I can’t believe how time flies,but then I do understand it being married to a beautiful, smart, passionate, caring, strong, honest and sophisticated woman. I look at our kids and see how you’re impacting their daily life instilling those same characteristics on a daily basis. I see how they the view world and care about people the same way you do.
