POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Meet @repjeffhurd of Colorado, a top ten Builder running for Congress.

In his first term, Hurd has shown what it means to put your district ahead of party politics. He teamed up with Colorado Democrats to protect critical Colorado River water rights, and he co-chairs a bipartisan effort to end partisan gerrymandering. And when tariffs on Canada were hurting farmers and steel mills back home, he was one of just six Republicans to vote to end them, even after being warned there would be political consequences.

In his words: “I’m working hard to be a countervailing force to... some of the rhetoric that we see coming out of Washington from both parties.” Swipe to see why he’s a Builder.

The Builders Index scores candidates on how they lead, work with others, and deliver results, not which party they belong to. See the full Top 10 at BuildersIndex.org (link in bio). #MakePoliticsSuckLess

Thank you Congressman Jeff Hurd for closing out our Demon Leadership series. It was a pleasure to listen to Congressman Hurd discuss leadership, sport, and lessons about being a good teammate.

If we don’t talk about it openly EVERY DAY until the election we will lose… it’s that simple. Colorado voters in general autopilot to vote Dem. So talk to them, bring it home for them!

They know they’d like to go to Aurora and leave their car unlocked for 2 minutes but they can’t - because we’re in basically a sanctuary STATE 😡 a state where you can be part of a known Venezuelan gang, openly take over an entire apartment complex and under the current (Dem) leadership… you can get away with it. They’d rather not appear r@@cyst than protect you. And speaking of Venezuela, we aren’t too far from it around here…

Our houses are going down in value for the first time in a long time just recently and STILL no ones wants to move here. It’s not safe it’s not affordable… loootttaaaa school boom booms around here.

Anyway, I could keep going but we CANNOT keep this same, failing, Dem trend going here in this state. Let’s shock the world and make a giant, much needed change, let’s vote for @victormarx !!! Please share and tell anyone who will listen, God bless Colorado!!!!

What should we look for in the people who represent us in Congress? Beyond policy positions, how do candidates work with others, communicate respectfully, and deliver results? Who is upholding shared American values?

The Builders Index evaluates candidates on these qualities, regardless of party, to help voters make more informed decisions ahead of the 2026 midterms. Now that it’s here, it’s time to take action to Make Politics Suck Less.

ICYMI: In May 2025, Natural Resource Republicans visited @repcelestemaloy’s district to see geothermal’ s vast potential firsthand and discuss the challenges to unleash geothermal energy.

Since this visit, @housegop passed multiple pieces of legislation that help unlock geothermal’ s potential, including @repjeffhurd’s Geothermal Energy Advancement Act, a bipartisan package of six bills. The package included @repcelestemaloy’s GEO Act to cut permitting delays and Rep. Mike Kennedy’s Geothermal Royalty Reform Act to modernize geothermal royalty policy.

We saw the potential, and we heard the challenges. Then we got to work unleashing the heat beneath our feet.

The heat beneath our feet can help power America’s energy future.

ICYMI: In June, the House passed @repjeffhurd's Geothermal Energy Advancement Act, a bipartisan package to address project delays, fragmented permitting and regulatory uncertainty.

Watch Rep. Hurd explain why American energy dominance and competitiveness begin with removing barriers to the resources we already possess.

“There’s no way I can be an effective legislator if I don’t know who my constituents are going to be in two years.”

@RepJeffHurd and @RepEdCase introduced the Problem Solvers TRUST Act to end mid-decade redistricting and encourage stable district boundaries to help members understand their communities, their issues, and how best to serve them.

New Hampshire’s mountains, lakes, trails, forests, and farms bring people together—and help veterans heal.

Today I was proud to help introduce the bipartisan Veterans Outdoor Rehabilitation Act with @repjeffhurd. By helping cover equipment, transportation, and program costs, our bill would help more veterans get outdoors, connect with one another, and strengthen their physical and mental health.

Our veterans have earned this support. Cost shouldn’t stand in their way.

Back in Colorado with @repjeffhurd, to hear from local leaders in the Veteran community in Pueblo. We’re focused on improving VA healthcare and making sure Veterans receive the quality care they’ve earned.

Sometimes understanding the West means getting out of Washington and seeing it for yourself. 🚂

The Western Caucus Foundation is so grateful for the opportunity to take the scenic route through Alaska with @alaskarailroad and learn more about how their landscape creates jobs and sustains wildlife.
