Another press conference. Another day having to practically beg and demand the federal government to do right by the American people of Altadena. YALL. I am TIRED. We are TIRED.

It’s been almost 2 years since the fires and only 1% of those who experienced total loss of their homes have returned.

So much has been taken from us in Altadena yet Altadena stills shows up. Everyday. I am forever grateful for those who continue to make noise and keep our recovery in the face of the news and the American people.

Yesterday, I organized a congressional delegation tour of the LA County Ballot Processing Center.

Here’s what we learned throughout our visit!

21 months after the Eaton Fire, Altadena is still waiting for the resources it needs to recover. FEMA has delayed or rejected critical financial assistance, and survivors cannot afford to wait any longer.

California needs to step up, and we’re going to keep fighting to get Altadena the resources it needs to rebuild. #Altadena #EatonFire #AD41

Earlier this year, CEC Vice Chair @RepJudyChu RIPPED into a GOP bill in the Ways & Means Committee that would have protected the nonprofit status of organizations that discriminate against interracial & same-sex couples.

🙌🏿 REBUILD. RESTORE. REMAIN!!! 🙌🏿 This past Saturday we welcomed longtime Altadena residents and Eaton Fire survivors, Courtney and her family, back home! The Greenline team, Courtney's family and friends, and United States Representative for the 28th District, Judy Chu, and many more were there to celebrate the huge milestone and welcome them home! This marks our second rebuilding assistance recipient to complete their rebuild and move back home and we've got many more moving back home soon! Congratulations and welcome home, Courtney and family!

CSOMA Professional Director Dr. Miche Lamarche had the honor of supporting Assemblymember Mike Fong at a special campaign event last week! We are so thankful for his support in opposing dry needling in California! Dr. Miche also ran into Representative Judy Chu, another amazing advocate for our profession! 🩷 what an awesome night!

On this Peasant’s Month, it has been 6 months since the Negros 19 were massacred by the U.S.-backed Armed Forced of the Philippines. We sincerely thank Representative Judy Chu @repjudychu tor her public statement supporting an independent and impartial investigation on the Negros 19 massacre, and ensure accountability of the fascist attacks against farmers and community organizers, which continue to occur to this day. 🕯️Although Chu’s statement is from August, justice has yet to be served. We commemorate the lives of the Negros 19, which include two Filipino-Americans, Lyle Prijoles and Kai Sorem. ❤️‍🔥 Join us TODAY for our LA vigil at Vermont/Santa Monica station at 5:30pm. We demand an impartial investigation and for an end to the state violence in the Philippines!

So grateful I got to meet congresswoman @repjudychu and city councilman Steve Madison @pasadenadistrict6 at the United Against Hate Event put on by the @westernjusticecenter
It was amazing to connect and meet people who are equally against racism and hate in our community.
