Whenever our families get together, it’s bound to be a time full of memories made and being made. I’m so grateful for this day and more to come.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the Facebook page of Reshmi Kaur Oberoi. Scrolling through her page, I read about her journey as a survivor of anorexia nervosa. More specifically, her transparency resonated with me. In being part of a South Asian community, I have found it challenging to stay true to the complex parts of my identity. But in her post describing her fundraiser with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), Reshmi outlines her experience from medical steps to the symptoms she faced as well as the unfair suffering many individuals faced while receiving treatment. Subsequently, Rashmi started a fundraiser with NEDA to “support individuals and families affected by eating disorders and serve as a catalyst for prevention, cures, and access to quality care.” I will post the link here and attach photos of Reshmi’s full story on Facebook, and I highly urge you to look into the link and donate to this cause. https://www.facebook.com/510855264/posts/10165391169500265/?d=n
