Yay Art Windows has begun! Here is some extra info about my work at @respectacle

Rooted in abstract expressionism, my practice is driven by process, memory, and the body as a site of knowledge. I work with large-scale, gestural painting, using physical movement and mark-making to translate internal states into material form.

Increasingly, my work explores my sexuality and the discomfort and complexity of locating myself within it. I am interested in sexuality as an ongoing process rather than a fixed identity, considering how desire, gender, conformity, and social expectations become internalised. The work uses expression, gesture, and concealment, with layers repeatedly released and covered to reflect the tension between what is felt, expressed, and hidden.

Let us know your favourite.

We have done about 25 Winter/Christmas windows this year, so couldn’t fit them all in on one post!

We usually paint the inside, but if you prefer we can do the outside (it depends on how easy it is to access, and if you have a complex display, you don’t want to clear)

If we can book a few in one day, Abi and I can paint together, if it’s a single appointment and in London it will be me (Roz) and Abi if it’s Leicester or Market Harborough.

One window takes about four hours. If there are two of us, it’ll be roughly two.

We also residential, so if you have a special birthday or celebration, we can create a wonderful backdrop for photos.

If you’d like to book a window for next year, DM us and we can send you more information.

It can be a juggle, but it’s worth it.

We are Roz and Abi, two artists who work together painting windows, canvases, doing classes and retreats.

Let’s chat if you want to work with us. Just DM.
