Jesus is calling. These men, common fishermen, heard Jesus call and immediately they followed him. They followed him for 3 years and they died in his name- holding fast to the truth that Jesus was and is the Son of God, sent to man, lived, died on a cross in our place to fulfill justice while pouring out grace- he died and rose again on the third day. Resurrected, conquering the grave, so that whoever believes in him shall be redeemed and restored to just and right relationship with God the Father.

These common fishermen, when Jesus died returned to fishing back where they started- but the grave being unable to hold Jesus- he appeared before them, real, restored, resurrected. They felt his scars, they watched him eat, and he once again called them to follow him. They did. They followed and proclaimed this life changing truth of Jesus until they were brutally murdered for it. Would anyone die in such a way for a lie? No. They held fast because they knew Jesus was, and is, and is to come. King of all.

“Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Event Nº9 is in the books!

Some good looks at attacks from topside half guard today.

Sheridan brought a great word from Exodus. Brothers coming along side us to support us amidst the battle like Aaron and Hur who held his arms up. But ultimately resting on the Rock of Ages Jesus Christ is where we need to rest.

Thank you to @shieldedrootsjiujitsu and @gmoney_itsdarkjeff for opening your gym to the ministry.

If you are interested in hosting an event at your gym, leading a seminar, or just getting plugged in with some brothers of the faith on the mats- give us a shout.

Early morning session. @melvinrevillabjj.usa the focus is on guard pulling into tripod sweeps. Today, @resusjc13 and @sheridan_mason were drilling options and flow from the failed tripod sweep.

Tripod sweep>DLR>Reverse X>Saddle>Knee Slice

Good technical flow to start the morning. We will be starting a new book study and working more technical drills every other Wednesday at 0500-0700. It is a great time for men to fellowship and get some extra training in.
