It is a lot! Building a home , in the end of the day it doesn’t matter where it is, as long as there is soil to stand on, a pretty face to smile back at, neighbors that raise your walls, friends to cut your hair, family that makes you laugh, dogs to walk with, branches to weave, people willing to put their ear to the ground and listen to the roaring pulse! If you are wondering, the answer is YES I WANT TO HANG OUT

Happy week one to Swedish duo Mary Anne’s Polar Rig’s new EP, ‘…and the Sound of Speed,’ out now on Rama Lama Records! Described by the band as “a cross-projectional art piece displaying the world-building created by the two main characters and creators, Fast Malin Hofvander and Filthy Harald Ingvarsson, ‘…and the Sound of Speed’ is a story told through both music and comics, with the two different formats representing different parts of a puzzle, complementing and enhancing the depths of each other’s subliminal messaging. It’s a friend-adventure without end—an intergalactic space rock saga about fate, hope, and love. A psychedelic journey exploring the vastness of space, hearts, and souls through time, time and time again.” Mary Anne’s Polar Rig’s ‘…and the Sound of Speed’ is streaming everywhere* (*except Spotify) and available on Bandcamp. 🧑‍🚀🚀👩‍🚀🎸 Produced, recorded, and mixed by @studiosickan Mastered by @mlprod_vrtkl Cover art by @design_is_stupid Photo by @babyebbs Comic by @cybernosferatu #MHRLicensing

‘Shy’ is out now! ‘Shy’ is one of the first songs ever written as Better Life. In a lot of ways, the songs shaped the sound of the band and stand out as a clear example for the album, which will be released in February 2027. Better Life has been on the way since 2024, and it feels completely crazy and nerve-racking to finally start releasing the music that we have been working on for so long. We really hope you will like it! It was recorded with Louis Meyer at the Royal Danish Academy Of Music in Copenhagen, mixed by Julius Mauranen and mastered by E.T. Mastering. ‘Shy’ and the rest of the album is released through @happymetalrecords and @overtheunderrecords Photos and artwork by @runegronielsen ♥️

Better Life & Spiderpeople joins the bill for our Basement-show on October 10th! Spiderpeople Spiderpeople is Halfdan Magnus Stefansson and Mikkel Wilstrup, a musical partnership rooted in a wide range of projects across Copenhagen’s alternative music scene. Together, they have been performing and releasing music since 2023. Drawing clear inspiration from both the post-rock force of Swans and New York free-jazz pioneer Milford Graves, the duo creates music that is loud, intense and physical, yet driven by a fluid and organic rhythmic flow. Constantly in motion, Spiderpeople stretch, shift and bend musical motifs through elastic rock drumming and vast walls of distorted guitar. Better Life Better Life is a brand-new metal project, and their show at Basement will be one of their very first live performances. Driven by darkness and chaos, the music moves rapidly between extremes of dynamics – from walls of noise to moments of quiet beauty. The songs are built around dissonance and loose time structures and are performed with guitar, bass, drums, screams and saxophone. Get your tickets over at basement.kk.dk
