SEATTLE 💚💙

October in Seattle will always have my heart.

The fall colors, beautiful sunsets, Lake Washington sparkling, Mount Si showing off, and even a rainbow. And for maybe the first time ever, I actually enjoyed the rain!

A few days filled with good friends, meaningful conversations at a women’s conference, fresh hair, senior photos, and time with people I love.

There’s something about coming back to a place you love and picking right back up with the people who make it so special.

Seattle, you have my heart. Especially in October.

Flylab Interview: Bentley Zylstra

“In the age of AI, it has become more and more important to our team and to our readers that these stories are indeed real. No one wants to read great writing that has no soul. Film photography helps with this goal, because it’s really hard to fake film photos. I love the look of film photography. It sounds like a cliché, but I love the imperfections; I love the light leaks, the dust and the weird depth of field. The world has become too picture-perfect. I yearn for a workshop filled with dust, for a drive down a dirt road, or for a small town sign that says, ‘Come back soon!’ Everyone wants the world to become more automated. I want it to be more local and more handmade. At the end of the day, film photography is just a part of that narrative that we carry here at Revelry to slow down and get your body outside…”

Kinda cool to make friendship a priority.

Kinda cool to check in.
Kinda cool to show up.
Kinda cool to make time for your people.
Kinda cool to remind them they matter. 🤍

I’m so passionate about people knowing that friendships are worth the time, effort, and investment.

Because friendship affects more than we realize… the way we walk through hard seasons, the way we celebrate the good moments, and the way we experience everyday life.

Don’t just have good friends. Be a good friend.

Send this to a friend you’re grateful for 🩵

It is said that this lake (Lago di Carezza) has every color of the rainbow, and I believe it! Look close in the reflection and you can make out the contours of the jagged mountains sitting just out of frame
