To stay elastic and responsive under pressure.
To remain composed when things become unpredictable.
To feel comfortable in both agreement and disagreement — playful and challenging.

To me, body-to-body practice is one of the most nourishing ways to explore communication.

PARTNERING | inPRACTICAL with @losinnato Marko Fonseca

About the class:

The Identification of the Other teaching method is a training technique based on martial arts,
especially Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and various body training dynamics. Its goal is to understand the
basic principles of human movement and establish different connections with others.
It is a method characterized by a functional and didactic step-by-step approach, providing
experiences that facilitate results. It features a series of exercises that serve to prepare the body
and are designed to address the difficulty of the movements involved in developing the “trick” in
all its learning aspects: emotional, intellectual, and physical/mechanical. This training focuses
on technique and is adapted to optimize strength, coordination, muscle tone (zero point),
energy, instinct, awareness, leaders and followers, as well as the connection between partners,
generating trust and good communication.
We seek to ensure that it is not just about the execution of an acrobatic act, but rather how to
dance that skill and through it, in such a way that form and content are properly connected. The
flow of physical communication depends on the awareness of a shared balance.
METHODOLOGY
Part One: Joint mobility and locomotion work.
Part Two: Confidence exercises, energy recognition, weight, muscle tone, coordination, and
more.
Part Three: Company repertoire materials and tools for creation and research.
DESCRIPTION
This training technique seeks to encourage the instinct and innate movement of each
participant, develop trust within the group, and build confident conclusions to difficult actions.
We will work with predefined situations, which will build on the trust of others. This allows us to
take more risks and play with power and speed. Participants are invited to bring their own ideas,
explore themselves, and rediscover their own qualities.

Rhythm orchestrates harmonious movement.
Rhythm allows relaxation in action.
Rhythm is trained and tuned — not given.
Rhythm allows us to dance with gravity rather than fight it.

Simple, changing locomotor patterns awaken the whole body.
We use them to tune perception, build interconnected elasticity, and train the brain in action —
inviting the body into a pulsating flow of vigorous movement.

Flashback from Revés festival, Costa Rica.

Teaching at @revescr ✨
Deep gratitude for REVES Festival in Costa Rica — for the space to share practice, train Tang Soo Do, and move alongside other teachers and artists.
Every conversation, every exchange, every body in motion becomes medicine.
Dance reaches beyond language.
Dance is life. Dance is community.
To move is to remember who we are.
Thank you to our supporters for holding this work.
Thank you @markofonseca_ @alvarezsanou for your trust, openness, and spirit.
May the energy keep circulating.
