a small video process of the Duke of Edinburgh portrait I have done for the exhibition organized by the National Cotroceni Museum in Bucharest, that you can still visit until 18.04.

Do let me know how you find it and if you'd want to see more things like this in the future.

Last month I had the pleasure to illustrate 2 portraits for an Exhibition organized by the National Cotroceni Museum in Bucharest, headquarters of The Presidential Administration. "Ferdinand and Maria: a common destiny, Greater Romania" presents in a unique way the fascinating story of royal destinies that are intertwined with the history of the country they were destined to lead.

This is the first portrait of 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗻𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮. In 1874 she married Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, the second son of Queen Victoria; she was the only Romanov to marry into the British royal family.

It was a great pleasure to be part of this project, and if you happen to be in town you can visit the exhibition between 19.03 - 18.04, MO-SU, between 9.00-16.00 by appointment, as well as this jewelry of Cotroceni Palace I promise you it will be a thrill.

This is quite new to me, as I don’t usually illustrate such close-to-reality portraits but I had so much fun doing it and especially trying to bring some magic to a very royal figure. The castle where she grew up - Winter Palace in St. Petersburg is stylized in an orb - the symbol of the Russian monarchy. Her red dress is symbolizing the love for Russia and the floral motifs are also reinterpreted from a traditional Russian monarchical dress that I found. I read that she was a big fan of jewelry and that Queen Victoria herself was jealous of one of her diamond necklaces.

I would love to know what you think about this, and if I should also try to do more similar pieces in the future .

This is entitled "Patriarchy".

So I did a cover for an article for @revistacutra that was based on some poetry from @daria__ancuta ❤️!
If you want to read the poetry unfortunately it is only available in romanian so sorry for the people that follow me and don't know this language, but you can still go to CUTRA's bio where you can find the article which is entitled "nu mai putem să facem basme în alb negru" and find my other picture which was also based on another poem from Daria.
What do you think of the composition and what do you think the overall image mean? I'm curious to hear your thoughts since feminism is an important part of my view about what society is.😁

Please share or save this image if you want to support my work, I really do appreciate all the kind words and support that you guys show me!!☺️
(If you know romanian be my guest and read the poems because they really thought-provoking!)

Corpul gravidei nu-i aparține.

there is something happening tonight that requires a special kind of attention.

The Vernissage of the "Feminine March" exhibition, with and about women, curated and hosted by the lovely @galeriasenso starting with 19:00, in Bucharest.
Due to the current awfull situation I can't be present (which breaks my heart) but if you are in town I am sending you there, to enjoy, cleanse your eyes with beautiful art and have a good time, and if you find a second, drop me a line to tell me how it was.

It has been a thrill to be part of this amazing group exhibition with so many talented women artists. What you see here are the three original pieces you will see there, available also for purchase.
Which one do you like the most?

PS. Don't forget to swipe to see the extra cool poster made by @bbuzu & team

Gracias @revistacutra
La lucha sigue

Yo no soy tu Hermana

Mientras vosotras reclamabais vuestra “hermandad”
Mientras vosotras reclamabais vuestro “feminismo universal”,
