We had so much fun during Welcome Week back in August! ☀️ Here’s a recap from that week and a half of events here at BSM!

ROMANS 6:4
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”

What a special Baptism Sunday! It’s always a joy to celebrate how God has graciously been at work in each personal testimony we hear during baptisms. Each story is unique, yet each story points to the same exact truth – that God is worthy of our worship and our lives, and that he receives all the glory for being the one to give us new life in Jesus Christ!

If you are processing the decision of baptism, we would love to help walk you through that. You can always feel free to shoot us a message here, or call our office to get in touch with someone on our staff team!

We’re making more room! If you haven’t felt it in the room since SFA started classes last month, we have pushed the limits of our parking lot, our Worship Center seating, and our Nursery areas on Sunday Mornings. Over the last 4 years, we’ve continued to experience this type of growth at Fredonia Hill – so we’re excited to make the move in October to add a second service!

The heart behind this change is to model the character of Jesus. Throughout the New Testament, we see Jesus going out of his way to make space for people to experience His presence.

NEW SERVICE BEGINS NEXT SUNDAY: OCTOBER 4TH

Both services will be identical in structure and content. Our first service will begin at 8:30 AM, and our second service will begin at 11:00 AM. NextGen spaces will open for check-in 15 minutes before each service. In between our two services, we will meet for Sunday School from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.

This Sunday, we’ll still meet at 9:30 AM for Sunday School & 11:00 AM for Baptism Sunday & SFA Family Day. We hope to see you there as we celebrate the ordinance of baptism and hear stories of life change made possible through Jesus Christ!

Looking for a church in Nacogdoches? We’d love to meet you!

Fredonia Hill exists to be a church where all people can discover and follow Jesus right where they are and wherever they are sent.

Everything we do together is filtered through connecting people first to God and then to each other, being trained and equipped as apprentices to Jesus, and being sent back out into our community and spheres of influence.

Because of that, our church looks a lot like Nacogdoches. We gather together to worship God from all walks of life – as families and professionals, empty nesters, college students, native Spanish speakers, weekend visitors, and neighbors.

More than just Sunday gatherings, we do life together, share meals together, show up for each other, and open God’s Word alongside each other as we seek to apprentice under Jesus. Whether it‘s through a Community Group meeting or a Wednesday Night Study, the goal is that we would begin to think like Jesus, live like Jesus, and go like Jesus.

We love Nac, we love the campus of SFA, and we love the Greater East Texas area. Since 1934, we’ve been investing in and developing leaders in our city and region. We also have a strong mission-sending background, and our heart to train and send apprentices both locally and internationally remains true to this day.

We’d love to invite you to come and see what family at Fredonia Hill is all about. Join us on Sunday mornings at 1711 South Street – we’ll have a seat and a coffee waiting for you!

Here’s a look at the last few weeks at Fredonia Hill!

☀️ BAPTISM SUNDAY + COMMUNITY WALK:
We celebrated 5 baptisms on February 8th, and then went into our community to deliver soup kits, pray with our neighbors, and check in about their current needs. It was such a special Sunday!

🚪 NEW HOURS + NEW VOLUNTEERS @ OPEN DOOR:
At the beginning of the year, we shifted our Open Door schedule to include Wednesday Nights! It’s our prayer that this evening shift can serve our community members who work during the day. Help us spread the word about Open Door by following @opendoor_nac and sharing about our new hours.

🌳 BABY DEDICATION:
10 families made commitments to raise their children to know and cherish God’s Word during Sunday’s dedication service. As a church, we also made a commitment to remind each of these children of God’s mighty works and faithfulness.

(Not pictured: a lot of 6am community groups, Sunday lunches and basketball games, and time spent together.)

If anything is certain – it is that we find a deep kind of joy in belonging to each other as not just a community, or a group of people in the same room on a Sunday – but as a family.

DM us if you’d like to get connected! We’re always here to help make a big room on a Sunday feel just a little more small.
