“The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.” Psalm 16:6 🤎

Orúkọ mi ni Omidan Adeleke Adetola Adebola.
Ọmọ Oba ni mi — ẹ sì lè pè mí ní Àtòkè.

I am a young lady of many dreams, many ambitions, and many names.

To my paternal grandfather, I am Ajálá — the traveller, because I once told him I would travel the world.

To my maternal grandfather, I am Double Princess, because that is my honour, regardless.

To my paternal grandmother, I am Ẹbíolúwa, because I am God’s own.

To my maternal grandmother, I am Adetola, because she says my name is not just a name, but an household name.

To my mother, I am Mọ́rẹ́nikẹ́jì, because I am a helper.

To Temi, I am Princess, because that is who I am.

To my coursemates and lecturers, I am Àtòkè, because I am a community leader.

And to the world, I am ÀtòkèÒkínjẹ́sùOG - ẹ̀mí ni ọmọ Grandpa tó ń jẹ Àtòkè Òkín.

So many names.
So many stories.
So many people who have called out different parts of who I am.

But beyond every name, I know who I am.

I am a lady helped by God.
Honoured by Him.
Loved by Him.
Carried by Him.
Exalted by Him.

I do not know what the future holds, but I know the One who holds it.

And perhaps that is enough.

For the God who has brought me this far will surely take me farther.

“For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.” Proverbs 9:11

Here’s to another year of becoming.
Another year of dreams.
Another year of grace.

A new year. My best year yet. 🤎❤️✨

Happy birthday to me.

I always thought of medical students as some of the most hardworking, relentless, and intensely studious people you could ever meet. They seem to be constantly submerged in textbooks, balancing endless rotations, and navigating a 'pressure cooker' that most people couldn't handle for a week, let alone years. I wasn't wrong, they really are that dedicated, and seeing that grind up close gives you a whole new level of respect for what they carry on their shoulders every single day.

During the LAUTECH MB;BS Class 26(@thedilectus) graduation shoot, there was something so powerful about seeing them in that moment. Watching them so full of joy and excitement, knowing exactly how much work it took to earn this moment, felt surreal. Seeing them let loose and just celebrate was the real highlight for me.

It wasn't just about the photos. It was about the way they interacted. I watched them take turns, but instead of it being just a session, it was a whole celebration. They were constantly hyping each other up, cheering, and making sure everyone felt like the main character. You don’t find a bond like that everywhere. It’s clear they’ve truly walked this path together, and it was such a beautiful experience to be a part of.

Shout out to my photographer friend for inviting me to come around for this project. Being the creative I am, I couldn't help but document these moments and capture some bts shots of the magic happening behind the scenes.

Congratulations to The DILECTUS! ❤️
