We were delighted to host our U9 Rugby Festival, welcoming over 150 boys from seven schools for an action-packed afternoon of rugby, teamwork and plenty of fun!

The standard of rugby on display was incredibly impressive, particularly for many of the boys who were taking part in their first U9 festival of the term. The pitches were full of energy as the players showcased excellent skills, determination and enthusiasm, with some fantastic passages of play throughout the afternoon.

Just as impressive was the wonderful sportsmanship and team spirit shown by all the boys. There was plenty of encouragement, support and friendly competition, creating a fantastic atmosphere across the festival. It was brilliant to see the boys enjoying their rugby, challenging themselves and playing with such confidence and enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to @bcsbirmingham @kingshawford @winterfoldhs @rgsthegrange @theelmsschool_colwall and @herefordcathedraljuniorschool for joining us and helping to make the afternoon such a success.

A brilliant start to the U9 rugby festival season and we’re already looking forward to the next one! 🏉👏

What does being an Apple Distinguished School look like at RGS? Our pupils can show you.

The RGS Worcester Family of Schools has renewed its Apple Distinguished School recognition until December 2029, continuing a distinction the Schools have held since 2017.

From exploring ideas and creating projects to sharing what they have learned, pupils across our Schools use digital tools with purpose. Watch our film to see them in action.

This summer, RGS Worcester was also proud to host more than 250 delegates at the Apple Distinguished Schools Global Summit - the first school in the world to do so.

See Digital Learning for yourself at RGS Worcester Open Morning on Saturday 19 September. Book through the link in our bio.

🌍💻 RGS Pupils Share Digital Leadership Expertise on a Global Stage

Pupils from across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools presented at the Apple Distinguished Schools Global Summit held at RGS Worcester.

In their session, ‘What Does Student Digital Leadership Look Like at RGS Worcester?' pupils shared how they support staff and fellow pupils, use technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance learning, and develop confidence and leadership skills.

They then worked directly with international delegates, answering questions, sharing practical advice and helping school leaders consider how they could develop student digital leadership in their own schools.

The impact was clear, with one delegate reflecting: “We need so much more of this… it changes our assumptions about pupils can do.”

We held our annual RGS Family of Schools Spring Concert, Carnival of the Animals at Worcester Cathedral.

Pupils from RGS Worcester, RGS The Grange and RGS Dodderhill came together for a wonderful showcase, featuring choirs from across our Schools alongside dance, solo performances, chamber choirs and ensembles, showcasing the talent across all three schools.

The evening ended with a fantastic all-school collaboration, bringing everyone together for a Lion King medley – a real highlight.

Thank you to everyone who took part and to all who came along to support.

Throw back to 2025: A full circle moment took place at RGS The Grange where several generations of students, teachers and practitioners congregated to workshop designs for a new Learning Zone. Helen and Simon spent the day facilitating students from Year 6 and Loughborough School of Architecture in exploring fresh ideas and unique perspectives for the ‘Classroom of the Future”. Everyone had a lot of fun and we think some young architects in the making were inspired… #glazzardarchitects #rgsthegrange #loughboroughschoolofarchitecture

As the school day came to an end, our Year 3 & 4 pupils, joined by @kingshawford and @rgsthegrange headed straight to the pool for a fantastic afternoon of swimming gala action. 🏊‍♂️🌟

The event featured a mix of individual races and fast-paced team relays, with every swimmer showing fantastic effort, confidence and determination. It was wonderful to see pupils encouraging one another, celebrating successes and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship throughout the afternoon.

The relay races brought plenty of excitement, highlighting teamwork and school spirit, and creating a great atmosphere poolside. A huge thank you to King’s Hawford and RGS The Grange for taking part and helping to make the gala such an enjoyable and memorable event.

Thank you as well to everyone who came along to support and well done to all the swimmers for representing their schools so positively! 👏💙
