1. Seriously, showing up is the hardest part and you should be damn proud of yourself every single time you walk through those gym doors!

2. Form first, always. I’d rather see you drop weight and perfect your form than go too heavy and risk injury.

3. To modify is to listen to your body. Modifying exercises to suit your body better means better sustainability and less risk of injury.

4. I will always be your biggest cheerleader and support you no matter where you’re at in your fitness journey!

5. You are WAY stronger than you think! Remember that next time you pick up those dumbbells.

Let’s take a glimpse into my training shall we? Just a few exercises but a real good example of just how difficult it is and the level of effort it takes to get strong bones and muscles. It’s not pretty. It’s not glamorous. It’s extremely hard work, but it’s 100% worth it!

And how do we feel about this long form style video and voiceover? Just trying to branch out, let me know what you think!

Also, as a disclaimer, it’s taken me well over 10 years to get to this point so make sure you start slow, start light, master your form first and listen to your bodies!

A little Belinda Carlisle for your Monday. If you like fitness disguised as fun, I teach a Retro Cardio class every Monday at 5:30pm @rhythmfittc - Your favorite mix of Jazzercise from the 80’s, Tae Bo from the 90’s, Lyrical & Hip-hop Cardio Dance from the Early Aughts with a little bit of floor mat work to round out a sweaty, throwback aerobics class from the past!
