I asked my testers to be ultra picky with this pattern when finding mistakes and changes they would like to see in order to make your sewing experience an even better one, and boy did they deliver! It’s been more than two weeks since our testing period ended and I’m still working on incorporating all of these changes with the #fsGardenSkirt 🪡 At the moment, I don’t have a set release date, but when I do it will be announced here in my feed. ⁣

Thank you thank you thank you for the support and excitement around the new Thread + Sprout Foundation Pattern!!! I absolutely cannot wait to see what yall make with it!!!

The making and launching of this pattern would not at all have been possible without the help of the incredible testers I got to work with. They all made such beautiful versions of the Foundation Pattern - some with appliqué adornment, some made with my nature dress tutorial, and some letting the fabric truly shine on its own. In addition to making beautiful creations they also provided amazing feedback so that this pattern could be the best it could for all of you 💗💗💗

My goal with the Foundation Pattern is that it can be a true foundation for you to build upon - both building your sewing skills as well as building your creativity and imagination with sewing projects and exploring what all you can do to make the project 100% uniquely you.

Meet my talented tester, @rhythmsews!
She transformed a sari into a stunning Elara dress, blending traditional and modern elements in perfect harmony.
Rhythm used silk fabric from a sari and omitted the ruffles to highlight the fabric's beauty. The Indian national fabric makes this dress incredibly unique!
If you want to simplify the dress design, Rhythm's dress is a great example of how it will look (swipe to see more). I'm really proud of her work!

The instructions include illustrations of how to adjust the pattern to omit the ruffles.
