This happened June 25th 2023 and the story still does seem real.

I’ve been trying to be more open about my faith and this is one experience that only makes sense in my head if God exists. Being in that exact place at that exact time and the context of everything else is just insane.

I wish I would’ve gotten contact information from some other people at the scene to see if they experienced anything crazy as well. Only information I got was one of the girls names which was Liv.

We bought this house a year ago, and turned it into a home 🤍

I remember like it was yesterday - my brother and I sleeping from couch to couch, in hotels, in friends homes, taking naps in our cars. We were on our last ditch effort and this little place came out of no where.

It was older, dirty, needed a lot of work.. but we both knew we were ready to have a place to build our own sense of peace.

Even though at the time, we were both mentally exhausted, we were on a mission to rid of any toxicity in our lives- so we dove in. Quit our jobs, sold the cars, bought the house, renovated - and all meanwhile were blessed with new careers and connections, blessed with amazing friends and family, blessed with the strength to do whatever we needed to do to make it right for us.

I might not be living in this exact house for the rest of my life, but this little home has taught me so much and has given me an incredible amount to be grateful for.

Cheers to a year of making weeds into roses. 🌹

Fitness is about so much more than physical ability.

I’ve been feeling extremely grateful for the people that fitness has brought into my life & the ones I know I have yet to meet.

The ability to climb mountains, lift heavy, run fast, and take on a challenge is cool and all…

But the ability to do those things with likeminded people…wow is that an incredible gift.

The choice to start a “fitness journey” (for lack of better terms) has provided me so many people I look up to, life long friends, people I’d consider family, and familiar faces around the world.

& we’re just getting started 🌎

Well, that was crazy.

I made a promise to myself to keep moving no matter what. And though it was wildly hard, I am insanely grateful to everyone who has helped & kept me going along the way.

2023 & the first half of 2024 were very traumatic years. & I hope anyone who has watched my vulnerable stories in the past until now can see that nothing truly lasts forever. That life is ever evolving. That you’re still breathing, and you’re doing just fine. And if you keep moving.. I promise you, It’s worth it.

Boot scoot boogie n’ racin’

Haven’t hit a Spartan course in a while & for traveling back and forth between time zones with not so great sleep, a top 10 finish and 1st in AG I can’t be mad with 🤘

Riding scooters around the city & nights out with my people was the best part though. It’s good to be home again.☀️

Heart is full. Traveling & exploring, new opportunities, new relationships, new habits. And while change always comes with some aggravation I can’t help but stop myself and wonder what it would be like if I didn’t just jump off the deep end and hit rock bottom, like I did a while ago. It wasn’t easy, but damn am I so fuckin happy I let go.

This race was different. It being an age group championship series race- the competition was there. It was so impressive to watch all the athletes absolutely kick ass. And also, I was on the struggle bus miles 9-11.

But it was also different in that I really got to connect with some of the people on the course. Adopted teammates- all helping and encouraging one another.

On the climb that is life, you are never really alone. Always accept and give service when you can. Support is a powerful pain reliever.
