Opening night for The Play That Goes Wrong is officially in the books! Getting to be part of this show has been a bucket-list moment for me, and I’m so excited to finally be able to say I’m doing it! A huge thank you to our Artistic Director @rickhammerly and our director @directorpault for bringing me down from DC to Richmond and giving me the chance to be part of this wonderful production. What a gift. And then there’s this cast. These hilarious, talented humans have somehow gone from rehearsal buddies to full-on theatre family. We’ve laughed SO much throughout this process, and they make me laugh every single night. Thankfully, not on stage. Well… 😏 It’s been such a fun, joyful rehearsal journey, and opening night was the perfect way to kick off what I know is going to be a very special run. Here’s a little peek behind the scenes - rehearsals and opening night. So grateful and happy. Here’s to a great rest of the run! ⁣ “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” - ⁣@dollyparton ⁣ IT’S DOLLY PARTON DAY!⁣ ⁣ Across the world, communities are celebrating Sept. 25, a little wink to her iconic “9 to 5,” by honoring The Queen of Country, Dolly Parton.⁣ ⁣ Dolly has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Back in the 1970s, my parents took us to see her perform live at the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Virginia. I was lucky enough to experience her magic then, and I’ve been a fan ever since.⁣ ⁣ Thank you, Dolly, for decades of music that have brought us joy, laughter, comfort, and memories. But even more than the music, thank you for showing us what it looks like to lead with kindness, generosity, humility, and heart.⁣ ⁣ You’ve reminded generations of us that being a truly great human being is the most beautiful legacy of all.⁣ ⁣ Happy Dolly Parton Day to a woman who has made the world a little brighter, one song and one act of kindness at a time. ⁣ ⁣ #dollymakeseverythingbetter🦋 #RIPDolly #DollyPartonDay #Happy925Day
