Growing up, I knew that all I wanted to do was make stuff. My journey started through drawing and painting pictures and I thought that was all I needed…but once I picked up the camera for the first time, I knew that was it. I wanted to make movies!

Once I have my mind set on something, that’s pretty much it. I knew that I was going to pursue this with everything that I had no matter what. That is when I started @mislabeled.productions

I started off alone in my room for the first couple years, but now I’ve found and worked with so many wonderful people who push me to be my best everyday.

It’s been about 4 years now since I started filmmaking full time and it has been one of the greatest gifts that God has entertained me with. There is nothing better than taking an idea from your head and working with a group of people who can come together to make something real out of it.

Doing this doesn’t come easy by any means. There are a lot of sacrifices that you have to make. There are a lot of No’s that you have to hear. I knew what I signed up for when I started this and I’m still willing to hear 10,000 more No’s to discover the Yes that has been waiting for me the whole time.

This post is to celebrate all of the “no’s” that lead me to the “yes” that I’m blessed to share with you today.

I am proud to announce that I have been accepted into the 2025 C.E.I Fall CoHort classes ran by @cltiscreative for documentary filmmaking!!!

My journey as a filmmaker has only just begun and I can’t thank my friends, family, and the city of Charlotte enough for the support and inspiration yall give me.

Thank you for this opportunity. It won’t go to waste.
