With the 2026 Pacific Forest Rally coming up on Oct 16-17th I can’t help but reminisce to my very first time racing at a Stage Rally event. This sport is why I got into cars, has influenced my life so much from my formative years, but I honestly never would’ve thought I would/could actually do it! Started with a very budget friendly old Subaru, freshened it up with a lot of help from my friends, and got amongst it. @ridiculoose happened to make an absolutely amazing video on YouTube about it, simply amazing content. Thanks again Andrew!

The Road to Overcrest Rally | Driving the Driftless 🔗 to full video in profile 👆 Sometimes the adventure starts long before the rally itself. Our journey began in Oregon, where a small group of us set out on a 2,200-mile drive across nine states to reach this year’s @overcrestproductions Rally. That’s part of what makes Overcrest so special—the drive to the event is every bit as important as the event itself. Built around a passion for exploration, adventure, and community, Overcrest encourages enthusiasts to take the car and discover roads and places they’d otherwise never experience. For 2026, the destination was the breathtaking Driftless Area of Wisconsin. Unlike much of the Midwest, this region escaped the flattening effects of the last Ice Age glaciers, leaving behind winding river valleys, rolling bluffs, and some of the finest driving roads in America. Over several unforgettable days, we crisscrossed the mighty Mississippi River, carving through empty backroads that seemed tailor-made for vintage sports cars. More than 150 eclectic vintage and analog cars from across North America gathered to share the experience. From air-cooled Porsches and vintage European sports cars to quirky classics and well-loved survivors, every fuel stop became an impromptu car show and every evening a celebration of the people who believe cars are meant to be driven. This wasn’t a race. It was an automotive adventure, a reunion of friends, a celebration of great roads, and a reminder that the best memories are made somewhere between the first tank of gas and the drive home.
