As a little girl deep in the Virginia mountains, I would sit on the cool wooden floor of my grandmother’s house, pouring over photo album after photo album, each one holding the rich history of my father’s childhood.

They were meticulously organized by date and location, the majority printed on paper with ripped edges, all in black and white. Each person I looked at told a story that piqued my curiosity about a time just out of my reach. It was there that my love for black and white developed.

The world around the people seemed to fade away, and all that was left were their eyes and expressions, quietly telling their stories.

I hold the same joy today, 35 years later, as I did sitting on that cool wooden floor, studying those images.

Black and white portraits speak to me… they always have. 🤍

My cousin’s daughter got married a couple weeks ago! It was so special to be around so many of our Lotz family!

My Grampa and Gramma prayed so much for their family to love Jesus! They would be so blessed to know that the whole family loves Jesus all the way down the generations!

Evidence that the prayers we pray for our family and future families do have a powerful effect on their lives and spiritual growth! Keep praying!! 🙏🏼❤️
