February of 2025: i gave my life to Jesus. October 26th, 2025: i let the world know.
through these months, i have grown tremendously within faith. i can’t remember exactly how Jesus called me earlier this year, but I’ll never forget that moment went He called me out of the grave. To the first time of me reading scripture, to learning though people around me and going to church are just a few things that has grown me to be where i am in my faith. I just can’t thank God enough for First Youth. The fellowship. The best people. The most supportive and loving community that is so much greater than myself. This summer I went to LMP 2025 this summer and I started to “lock in” with God. After the “church camp fire”summer, I had so much anxiety and suffered through depression. It hurt. I cried and cried. It felt so lonely, but God was there every time. That’s when I went to Fall Retreat 2025. There was this one night of worship I won’t forget. All those anxieties and things from summer, it just slipped away. I trusted God so much I gave everything within me to Him in that one night of worship I cried so much. I learned then to trust God with everything, Proverbs 3:5-6. Then a spark grew. A really big thing was put in my heart by the Holy Spirit. A few weeks later, I told Riley I wanted to be baptized. I wanted to be done living for the world. To stop putting my identity in others or other things. To stop pursuing things that aren’t from God. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” It is this day,10/26 that I fully accepted God’s love, holiness, and what is righteous and true into my heart forever. Thank You for everything Jesus. I don’t know where I would be or who I would be without You. Thank You Riley and Megan for your endless support during this decision. I hope Jesus may shine His light through me and I share that light into this world. And to those lies I told myself or that people have told me: “I’m not worthy. I don’t deserve this. I’m lonely. I’m broken.” I now point to that empty grave and the price Christ has paid for me. Thank You Jesus. ❤️

LMP 2025! ⚛️🔨
For the past 7 years Local Mission Project has played a huge role in my life, it has and will continue to be my favorite week of the year. This year marked my last year as a student and I couldn’t be more grateful for all LMP has done for me. Through worship, fellowship, and service it has taught me what it means to lead with a servant heart, has brought me life long friendships, and has helped transform me into who I am today. I love this church and these people and can’t wait to be back next year as an LIT!
