Two new wines by the glass have landed on our list—and both come from the hands of Luna Hart winemaker Gretchen Voelcker, who will be joining us next Wednesday for our Luna Hart Wine Dinner.

Gretchen is also the winemaker behind Piazza Family Wines, while Luna Hart is her personal label.

🥂 Luna Hart Blanc de Cabernet Franc
This wine defies categorization! We’re listing it as our rosé by the glass. Think pluot, cantaloupe, fresh mint, a little creaminess on the palate & a salty mineral finish that makes it endlessly versatile at the table. This is food rosé.

🍕 Piazza Chilled Graciano
Our new favorite “pizza wine.” Bright raspberry fruit, cola spice, and Graciano’s signature black pepper make this chilled red dangerously easy to drink & delicious with more than pizza.

Sometimes people ask where Luna Hart really begins.

For me, it starts in the vineyard: walking the rows, listening, and getting to know the people who care for the land and place long before the fruit reaches my cellar.

Luna Hart is built on vineyard collaborations and partnerships; I choose sites where the farming is thoughtful and the soils feel alive, because I need to feel the soul of the vineyard to allow the soul of the wine to shine through.

Every decision I make later on is rooted in what I find out here in the vines.

Gamay, but make it California. ⚡️

I’ve been obsessed with Gamay since early in my career—making it since 2018, long before people really started to recognize how well it thrives in our region.

What pulled me in was how alive it feels, and how transparently it shows a site.

Farming it biodynamically at @martianranchvineyard for the past 8 years has only deepened that connection. This place has its own energy…seriously. I joke that gnomes and fairies must farm it—it really does feel that magical.

Investing in this vineyard has been such a meaningful part of my journey, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see others starting to recognize and connect with that same energy.

I’m especially honored to see this wine land at places that don’t just pour wine—they choose it with intention: @commisrestaurant (2⭐️), @elencanto.sb here in Santa Barbara, and the iconic @ojaivalleyinn (to name a few).

The newest vintage is out now—just 200 cases made, (already down to the last 50).
