October's @chattanooga_noise_night was chilly and full of warm comfort inside the congregation room. Very cozy, crunchy night.

This year taught me that the deepest growth doesn’t come from moving faster or doing more, but from connection. Showing up with intention, listening with care, and standing beside friends and community through both the ordinary and the meaningful moments. I am forever grateful for the bonds that deepened, and the shared support that made this year what it was.

Laws are a threat made by the dominant socioeconomic ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just the promise of violence that’s enacted, and the police are basically an occupying army, you know what I mean?

The state is defined by its monopoly on violence. #boutdadlyfe

@chattanooga_noise_night special event at a secret location. Veterans, newcomers, and a few folks somewhere in between, but all uniquely Chattanoogan.

I've described the Chattanooga Noise experimental music scene as lightning in a bottle, but it feels more like a massive network of plants where new flowers keep budding from the same root system. I meet new people at every event and so many wind up starting their own projects, helping with art, photography, video editing, etc. - or some just want to be there solely to listen.

Regardless, I'm glad I stayed in this city long enough to watch this scene transform into something that has warranted attention and respect from other noise/experimental scenes. There's a wealth of talent in bloom.

This past fall I received a message to help my aunt and uncle move across the south to Chattanooga, TN. I witnessed and deeply felt the emotions of a couple who created such a remarkable and awe-inspiring piece of land, leave their final footsteps on the Texas soil. With these emotions came tears and with these tears came a promise of renewal, a chance for a bit of land to become home again.
