Why do we call it Jams for Humanity?

Because ATX Artists strongly believes that art is for all, every human being belongs, and no human being is illegal.

At our FREE monthly community mixer, performance series, and open jam session — we create, educate, mobilize, advocate, and collaborate with our fellow humans — and we ensure:

✅ Our professional house band and featured acts get paid equitably
✅ We spread awareness for wonderful causes with mission-aligned partners
✅ Artists of ALL backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels are encouraged to show up and create
✅ EVERYONE belongs — a safe and inclusive space for artists, patrons, and partners—anyone who shares our mission

🎶 May 2026 Recap:

💙 $400 raised for Dance for All — more FREE ballet classes for foster children @fostervillageaustin

20+ artists joined our open jam: local pros, students, community members, and jazz newcomers.

Special shoutout to Nicole, a fiddle player who crossed over from the Batch Bluegrass Jam to sit in with us — proving that genre doesn’t have to be a barrier. 🎻

All the love to our killer house band 🔥
@jesshealeymusic @sid_thesoundkid @dllnbrse_ @ernielopez1018

See you next month on June 7th for a special PRIDE-themed Jams for Humanity celebrating queer/nonbinary artists and women in jazz!

We’ll be promoting and fundraising for our upcoming Pride production, Embodied — art gallery exhibition, live ballet performance, and dance short film premiere!🌈

Our ATX Artists community continues to grow 🫶

Weekend Photo Dump to go along with my career change!

Hi! My name is Paolo Dumancas. I’m a musician, producer, systems engineer, arts administrator, and community organizer who uses the arts, service, culturally engaging programming, and technology to advocate for human rights and our most vulnerable communities. I’m a proud Filipino and first generation immigrant!

I studied Computer Engineering but recently left my AI/Datacenter tech career to pursue more social impact focused work in the arts and tech full time, including leading a startup nonprofit — ATX Artists for Social Impact (@atx.artists ) which has had a truly unprecedented first year of success and community impact.

I provide live music, performance coordination, and production management for events, trombone for studio sessions, and a full suite of arts administration and grant writing services to assist artists, arts organizations, and other mission driven businesses in navigating strategy, technology, and creative vision as it applies to their artistic voice.

My entire personal mission revolves around radical inclusivity, that is — creating safe and welcoming spaces, systems, infrastructure, and opportunities for anyone of any background regardless of age, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, or ability — to feel comfortable and empowered to express themselves to the world.

Making this leap is scary but I’m excited to align my day to day more with my personal mission and values to serve my community, and I’m grateful to have such a wide network of support.

Please reach out if you’re interested in working together!

Yes, it is that deep. Yes, it is ALWAYS political.

I refuse to stop fighting for human rights and advocating for safer communities and I will continue using my musicianship and artistry as a platform to do so.
