We’d like to formally introduce @rise_vtec as our newest liveried driver on the team roster! Mario’s impressive 2022 and 2023 seasons in @gridlifeofficial #clubtr proved to us that he was a motivated, capable driver. It also proved his K-swapped EG Civic hatch to be a FWD, time-attack beast in competition. Mario implemented a variety of upgrades in the recent off-season. Our favorite upgrade is the spicy new livery that matches his teammate’s car (more info on that soon!). We’re pumped to cheer him on throughout his race season competing in Club TR.

This video presents a close-up view on how an RSX/K-Swap Short Shifter engages gears 1-6 on a K20A2 transmission. Like most manual Hondas/Acuras, the shifter operates two cables that are linked to the transmission. The shifter cable connected to the rocker arm selects the gear gates for gears 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and reverse when moving the shift lever position from left to right. Once the gate is selected, the shifter cable connected to the shift lever engages the gears within that gear gate when moving the shift lever forward and back.

This racecar belongs to @rise_vtec’s K-swapped time-attack Civic, which uses a JDM K24A engine paired with a K20A2 transmission from an Acura RSX Type S. The shifter setup consists of the following parts from our catalog:
