Your bridal shower, but make it chic.

Krystle was pretty clear about what she wanted: no games, no spending an hour opening gifts, and plenty of time to actually hang out with her people.

So that’s what we planned.

We worked with @rocakzoo on a food and drink pairing menu—shoutout to Zack and his amazing team!

Erica at @pinnacoflowers put together a Bloom Bar and led a little crash course in styling flowers with pin frogs so everyone could make their own arrangement. Then guests sat down for a full meal together to break bread and tacos. 🥲

Good food, good drinks, flowers to take home, and time to catch up. I’d say that’s a pretty fantastic way to celebrate getting married.

If you’ve been trying to figure out how to make your bridal shower feel more like you, this might be your sign.

dedicated gluten free restaurants Michigan: a Grand Rapids couple started baking gluten-free at home, and now runs two dedicated gluten-free spots across town. Most Michigan celiacs have only found one of them.

Rise Authentic Baking, 1220 Fulton St W, Grand Rapids. Their own kitchen since 2019, flavor of the day posted each morning. Mon-Fri 7-5, weekends 8-4.

Fika, 1359 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids. The same couple’s plant-based brunch spot. French toast and tots. 8-3 daily.

Tasty Bakery, 416 W Huron St, Ann Arbor. Started at the farmers market in 2009. Get the brownie. Closed Sun.
