Happy world weightlifting day to the sport that continues to empower and humble me, every session, every day 🙃

Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, the barbell reminds you there’s more to learn. And honestly, that’s why I love it. It keeps me humble, it keeps me hungry, and it makes every little win feel huge. Some days the bar feels light, some days it feels like a ton, and I show up for both.

There’s always something to fix and something to improve, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve learned progress isn’t just the numbers on the bar. It’s the patience, the mindset, and the person this sport helps me become. Every missed lift is just a step toward the next good one.

Here’s to another year of getting stronger, staying curious, and showing up for it all.

Two best lifts from Masters Worlds.

145/195

Went 5/6 on the day narrowly missing 150 on a third attempt snatch - ran it to the front edge of the platform and was on my tip toes but couldn’t save it. I missed my last warmup behind me and it wigged me out a little since it was the first miss behind since the day I messed up my elbow. Pretty sure this made all my platform snatches forward a bit.

CJ series was absolutely smooth. Chose to do 195 so I could chip my USAM AR total with 340kg (+2 on the total, +5 on the CJ).

It was a great day of lifting and looking forward to @pa.wv.weightlifting WSO Championships at the end of the month as another little heavy day.
