POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Turns out Dave Miller at @opb’s Think Out Loud knows his way around a 5-string electric violin!

I can’t believe I’m talking about my Korean grandparents on my local NPR affiliate. I can’t believe I wore a hanbok to the interview. I can’t believe Through-Lineage premieres today and tomorrow at Reed College…
thank you. 🫶🏼

10/23 & 24, 7:30pm
also featuring @thesurrealshannonstewart’s river, river, river

A week before my first one-person show premieres.

Between memorizing an eight-page script and picking up a US Army mine crate from 1953 to use as a prop, I still had time to lay down some violin for @cuchulainmusic’s new album.

What makes Through-Lineage different from previous shows? The process of creating it has been filled with intention and determination. My inner perfectionist-procrastinator usually has me leaning on my improv skills for every performance. Chalk it up to age or four years of therapy—I’ve deliberately folded meaning into every moment of this show. I can’t wait to share it with you. Many thanks to James Mapes at @riskrewardpdx for walking with me through this process.

Hope to see you 10/23 or 10/24, 7:30pm at Reed College.
