A AGENDA DO RISCO HUMANO

Do compliance à governança.

Pessoas. Risco. Governança.

Vamos conversar?!

When a family moves for work - whether across the country or across the world - the move may begin with a career opportunity, but its success often depends on the entire family.

And the children are a critical part of that equation (if not THE critical part).

Finding the right school, community, academic environment, social fit and athletic opportunities can make all the difference in how quickly a family feels settled and at home.

For global mobility and relocation professionals, supporting the employee means supporting the family, too.

School Fit Advisors, in collaboration with @riso.global (and their global mobility expertise), helps relocating families navigate one of the most important pieces of any move: making sure their children land in the right place to thrive.

Today, we came to the end of a 4-week parenting journey together with @interootsbytatipaes @tatipaes

And somehow, it feels like the beginning of something too.

This programme is deeply personal to me.

Years ago, during one of my own international relocations, I was 34 weeks pregnant and preparing to start a new life in Malaysia. I was becoming a mother while becoming an expat all over again — and I wish I had had a space to pause, prepare emotionally and make sense of everything I was carrying.

That experience stayed with me.

It became one of the reasons I created Relocating Abroad with Kids — to offer families the space I once wished I had. This program is available for all the families relocating with @riso.global because @riso.global recognizes that there is an emotional side of the relocation that wasn’t yet fulfilled.

Today, as this 4-week programme comes to an end with my client, I’m reminded that the end of a programme doesn’t mean the end of the journey.

A new country.
A new chapter.
A new opportunity to grow together as a family.

And I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of the beginning. Thank you for the trust @tatipaes #expatlife #relocating #globalmobility

Moving abroad is not just about where you go, it’s about how your family experiences the journey. The chapter begins way before landing in a new country.

Most relocations are driven by an opportunity: a new job, a career move, or a fresh start.

But for children to embrace the transition, they need more than logistics. They need a story they can understand and feel part of.

In Week 1 of my Country Relocation Program, we start from creating a positive family narrative that helps children make sense of the move with security, and purpose.

Because a successful relocation isn’t just about arriving in a new country—it’s about arriving there together. #consciousparenting #parentingcoaching #expatfamily #resilientkids #emotionalintelligence

One family. One move. Very different experiences.

What feels exciting to one person may feel overwhelming to another.

What feels like a new beginning may also feel like a goodbye.

For children especially, the emotional impact of relocation can sometimes be harder to see.

Behind the excitement, there may be loss, uncertainty, longing and the need to belong.

That’s why every family member’s experience matters.

Together, at @riso.global and @growingtogether_parenting we are bringing two perspectives to the same journey, looking beyond the logistics of relocation and making space for what the family is feeling through the move.

Because when we understand what’s happening beneath the surface, we can better support families not just to relocate, but to adapt, connect and belong.

Resistance. Clinginess. Big emotions. Changes in behaviour.

These are often just the visible part.

Beneath them, a child may be navigating a whole new world of questions:

Where do I belong now?
Who can I connect with?
Am I really safe here?

Relocation isn't only about adapting to a new home, school or country.

For children, it's also about finding their place in a world that suddenly feels unfamiliar.

And they don't only need time to adjust.

They need someone who can see beyond the behaviour, get curious about what it might be communicating, and help them feel safe, connected and understood.

This is at the heart of the collaboration between @growingtogetherparenting & @riso.global, bringing the emotional experience of children and families into the relocation conversation.

Because sometimes, the behaviour is the message.

We just need to slow down enough to listen

When does a family start to feel a new country like home?

It takes time. But time alone isn’t enough.

Behind every international move, there is a family navigating change. And for children, that change can show up in ways we don’t always immediately recognise.

Sometimes, challenging behaviour is simply a child saying:

“I’m trying to make sense of all this change.”

Together with @riso.global we are bringing more space to the human side of international mobility — supporting families not only to move, but to adapt, connect, belong and thrive.

This is just the beginning of a new way of thinking about relocation #expatfamilylife #parenting #emotionalwellness #familythriving

One of the most common questions I get asked: How do you vet your talent?

"300 down to 1" is my usual answer. But that only tells half the story.

LATAM has the talent. Finding 300 is easy. The challenge is whether that 1 in 300 will fill a role, or serve a purpose.

Skill and experience will only get us so far. To uncover the talent’s intangibles — alignment, cultural fit, and that ownership mentality — our approach must go beyond a checklist. We must bring market knowledge, industry experience, and a genuine understanding of the organizations we serve: its function, its culture, and its stakeholders. This is how we deliver not just “a” 1 in 300 professional, but “the” 1 out of 300 that is the very best for your role and your organization purpose.

Today, I’m excited to announce an engagement with RISO Global that will elevate Handoff’s ability to deliver exceptional LATAM talent at scale.

Jana Chezanoski, founder and CEO of RISO Global, has built recruiting operations from the ground up. She's worked hands-on in the EOR space, and designed L&D strategies for cross-border teams. With her expertise combined with her team’s LATAM reach and relationships, Handoff can now deliver “the” 1 out of 300 talent at the scale our clients require.

This investment in our recruiting operations and learning programs will ensure our clients have the confidence they need to know that every Handoff placement will invest themselves in their role, their team, and the purpose of the organization they join.

LFG!
