✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨

👈 : the woman who was smiling through it, but tired — tired of the joint pain, the breathlessness, the feeling of watching her own life from the sidelines.

👉 : the woman who decided her story wasn’t over. 💪

VSG changed my life, but hear me — the surgery was just the tool. The real transformation happened in the showing up. Every single day. The gym days I didn’t feel like it. The protein goals. The mindset work nobody sees.

126 lbs down and 7 years of keeping it off, because this isn’t a diet — it’s a decision I keep making. 💕

If you’re standing where I stood on the left, I need you to know: the version of you on the right is already in there. She’s just waiting on you to start. 🙌

POV: date night done RIGHT 😍

PRYME is always a favorite when we want an upscale dining experience that never disappoints — perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just an intimate date night.

From the lemon drops to the crab cake to the lamb chops, everything is a must. The drinks, the food, the whole vibe — this is the spot for date nights in Greensboro.

📍 223 S Elm St (Downtown Greensboro)

Thank you @prymebarsocial for having us along with Chris and Bre for the incredible hospitality. 💛

Greensboro foodies - Have you been to PRYME? Would you try the lamb chops or the crab cake first? 👇

POV: I just crushed my workout, did everything right… and immediately rewarded myself with coffee like the gym never happened 😭☕️

My brain: “You need protein and water.”
Also my brain: “But what if… iced coffee?”

I know better. I do it anyway. Every. Single. Time. 😂

Tell me I’m not the only one who treats coffee like a post-workout trophy 👇

Stop saying you “ONLY” lost 5 pounds. Or 10. Or 20

You still did the work. You still showed up. You still moved forward.

And please stop giving yourself these random deadlines like you have to lose X amount by summer, your birthday, vacation, or some imaginary finish line.

It does not matter how long it takes.

Progress is progress, and the goal is still the goal. Keep going. ❤️

Lost 126 lbs, gained main character energy 💃✨

7 years post-op, the weight is s off, the knees still work, and the subway station is officially my stage 🚇

Main character era looks good on us, doesn’t it? 👇

The World Health Organization (WHO) just released its first-ever global guidelines on childhood obesity (and bariatric surgery is in them, as a last resort for teens only).

Here’s the breakdown:

👶 Ages 0–9: no weight-loss meds, no surgery, no devices — structured diet, activity, and behavioral programs with caregivers instead

👧 Ages 10–19: GLP-1s like Wegovy only after supervised lifestyle programs fail; surgery only for mature teens with severe obesity after ~6 months of unsuccessful treatment

Did you know: ~170 million kids aged 5–19 are living with obesity (quadrupled since 1990).

WHO says the evidence on GLP-1s in younger kids is thin and the guidance will evolve as trials read out. Guidelines aren’t law and don’t override existing approvals.

Surgery was my tool 7 years ago — a tool, not a shortcut. As a mom of 5, I’m reading 📖 this one closely.

Post-bariatric hypoglycemia — the crashing, shaky low blood sugar some of us get after eating post-op — finally has a drug in Phase 3.

Avexitide*(Amylyx) showed 55% fewer Level 2+3 hypo events than placebo; full data drops at ObesityWeek Nov 15.

*Not approved yet, NDA planned by end of year. Have you ever dealt with post-meal crashes?
