Directed La La Anthony in Brooklyn today.

Her story starts here. A kid from Brooklyn working hourly jobs, hustling toward the dream. Today we came back to tell that story for EarnIn’s “Payday Is Every Day” campaign with WORTHI.

And what a joy. La La walked on set camera-ready at noon and gave us everything. Warm. Grounded. Take after take, each one better than the last.

Massive gratitude to the team. The EarnIn and WORTHI teams who trusted the vision. Melanie Sudyn producing and keeping shooting humming like a Swiss watch. Zach Cooper on the Easy Rig painting with window light all day.

This is why Ritual Ads exists. Strong stories. Stronger teams. One Brooklyn afternoon.

Wrapped and grateful. 🎬

Ritual is how a community remembers what matters. 🧡

I just watched one unfold.

Poly’s Class of 2026 walked, and I spoke at the commencement to welcome them. Over 1,000 family and friends, cheering from the stands.

But the moment that stuck? Not mine.

Eight seniors. Chosen at random. Handed the mic.

They made me laugh. They moved me to tears. Extraordinary.

That’s the power of ritual. It isn’t in the podium. It’s in what a community chooses to honor together. Hand the mic to your own. The meaning goes deeper.

27 years ago I sat where they sat. Same field. Same nerves. Same tent.

Now I get to welcome them. 🐾

Congratulations, Panthers. Welcome to the family. 🧡💙

There’s a moment at every pitch event that has nothing to do with your pitch.

Mine happened in San Diego, when I shook hands with Dr. Irwin Jacobs.

Ritual Ads was selected as one of fourteen companies from over 150 applicants at the TechCon SoCal 2026 Startup Innovation Showcase Semifinal, in front of 100+ investors and founders. Thank you Dave De Csepel of the Alliance for SoCal Innovation and Faisal Mushtaq of TechCon Global for building the stage.

In July 1985, seven people gathered in Irwin’s den in La Jolla. He was 51. An MIT professor. Already retired once. He looked at six colleagues and said some version of “let’s do it again.” They called it Qualcomm.
What they were selling was a military technology no one in commercial wireless wanted. The insight hit Irwin on a drive back from Los Angeles on the 5 freeway. Treat the quiet moments in a phone call as shared bandwidth, and you multiply the capacity of the entire network.
Today Qualcomm is worth over $150 billion. Its technology powers most of the smartphones on earth. Over a billion people rely on the standards Irwin and his co-founders pioneered every time they make a call. One den in La Jolla. Four decades of compounded impact.
I am building Ritual Ads at the intersection of Hollywood, Madison Avenue, and Silicon Valley. Hollywood is where Taste lives. Madison Avenue is where Talent and Team know how brands get made. Silicon Valley is where the Tech gets built. Our Creative Engine is the only platform of its kind that uses generative and agentic AI. Reebok. Martha Stewart. Shopify. Gen-2 Beta closed 2025 profitable with a healthy seven-figure pipeline.

Irwin and six colleagues took a misunderstood technology, ignored the experts, and quietly built one of the most important companies in American history. They did it in Southern California because Southern California is where people who make things live. It is where the signal gets sent and the story gets told.
That is the lineage Ritual Ads belongs to.

Irwin was 51 when he started again. What he built is still compounding forty years later.

We are just getting started.

Last night wasn’t a magic show. It was a reminder.
There’s a kind of magic that doesn’t live in tricks or sleight of hand. It lives in the moment when a room full of strangers collectively holds their breath. When something true is seen and felt at the same time. When purpose walks in and sits down next to you.
@segalmagic brought that. Every single person in the room received something real last night. Not a performance. A gift. An insight wrapped in wonder, delivered with the kind of precision that only comes from someone who has found their why and built their whole life around it.
That’s the magic we’re chasing at Ritual Ads. The emotional cinematic kind. The kind that doesn’t just capture attention. It moves people. Because the best advertising has always been storytelling at its most honest. When an audience feels seen, they remember. When they’re moved, they act.
Last night was proof that magic and meaning aren’t opposites. They’re the same thing wearing different clothes.
Gratitude to everyone who made it happen and made it feel like something:
@nelsonparedezparks @foundstudios @shah_creates @natashajai9977 @ritualads @jethrofilms @bebeesq
And to @segalmagic. Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. The world needs more rooms like last night.

“I wanted to reinvent how commercials are made because the industry wasn’t built for creators or for results.”

Founder & CEO, Jethro Rothe-Kushel, built the world’s most advanced creative engine to solve a problem he saw across the entire Producers Guild: commercial production was slow, expensive, and failing 60% of the time to meet marketing objectives.

Today, brands like @reebok and @marthastewart are turning to @ritual.ads to produce smarter, faster, more effective creative. With a newly closed pre-seed round, the company is stepping into an exciting growth moment — one that positions them to transform a multi-billion-dollar industry.

We’re excited to support founders who aren’t just building technology, but reshaping how industries operate.

This week I stepped onto the floor of the New York Stock Exchange to talk with Wired about Ritual Ads.

Not because I dreamed of that moment, but because I have spent 25 years obsessed with a different problem.

How do you create cinematic creative with less friction?
How do you move fast without breaking trust?
How do you know if something will work before you spend millions?

Across film, TV, and advertising, I kept seeing the same pattern. Brilliant people. Massive budgets. Endless meetings.

And one quiet truth.
We were guessing.

Markets exist to reduce uncertainty and compound learning.

Advertising has done the opposite.

Long timelines. One big bet. Creative chosen by opinion. Hope dressed up as strategy.

At Ritual Ads, we are not trying to make better ads.

We are rebuilding the operating system behind how ads are made.

The real shift is this.
Creative is becoming infrastructure.

By 2026, winning brands will stop asking what the room likes and start asking what the audience proves, at scale.

The next generation of iconic brands will not be built by shouting louder or spending more.

They will be built by systems that listen better, learn faster, and compound truth.

2026 is already forming.
If you want to help build it, you know where to find me.

Grateful to have shared the Ritual Ads vision today at The Best of the Best showcase at The Cove at UC Irvine — surrounded by founders who are rewriting the rules and investors who see what’s next before the rest.

We are building the world’s most powerful creative engine to reimagine storytelling.

Today’s room was proof that Southern California isn’t just where innovation happens — it’s where it accelerates.

Here’s to building the future of storytelling — one commercial, one algorithm, one ritual at a time.
