Have pens, will literally draw on anything 🤷🏻‍♀️✨ Two years ago the very brave @river_carnival handed me some sharpies and a brand new mini and let me go wild. ✨ I really enjoy that a fair chunk of my work are things that I would have been told off for as a child 😂😅 drawing on walls, floors.. Cars. You name it! So. Much. Fun. My inbox is always open to drawing projects like this 📬 🤗 . . #carart #freestyledrawing #doodleart

CFH in reflection . Across the weekend our sustainable ceramics hub was the centre of family activities, sustainable approaches to ceramics, and local environmental organisations. The centre piece was lovingly crafted by the team at River Carnival, who we were more than sorry to see winding down this year. @river_carnival The tree was covered with tiles made by the community, which were decorated with sprigs and stamps of local plant life, all organised and run by @hannahdayceramics Sustainable ceramics chat and exhibition was all the work of @brakspearceramics , who continues to work with us planning CFH26... The team at @herefordshirewildlifetrust were also around talking about the brilliant work they do around the county, did you know they have 58 reserves in Herefordshire alone?! There were also classes and activies for all, run by the wonderful @daveshort.pottery (who will be returning to the studio in June) and of course @planetjanetceramics who we would love to see more of! After a few months of R&R, the team have started chatting about CFH again in earnest! We've been chatting about venues (and what could go where), guests (does anyone have any suggestions?), and activities! If you have any input for what you would like to see at CFH26, do let us know in the comments, or DM us! Photographs: @kpbphotographyy

Wye Knot Community is saying a heartfelt farewell to the River Carnival. It’s been an absolute joy and privilege working alongside such a vibrant event for the last few years. Connecting people to the river and witnessing those special moments was truly a highlight of our project. We’ll never forget the wonderful memories created. Thank you ever so much, Hereford will certainly miss you! ❤️ @river_carnival #RiverCarnival #Hereford #WyeKnotCommunity #CommunitySpirit #Farewell #ThankYou #RiverWye #Memories”

HEREFORD RIVER CARNIVAL: OPEN MEETING Saturday 8th February 2025 1pm-5pm De Koffie Pot, Bridge Street, HR4 9DG Hereford River Carnival is holding an open meeting to encourage people to get involved in organising the 2025 event - which is being held on Friday 16th & Saturday 17th May. The drop-in open meeting will be held upstairs at De Koffie Pot between 1pm-5pm on Saturday 8th February. This will be a chance to meet the team, find out more about what we do and how you, your group, organisation or business can get involved. ‘As a small team of volunteers, we really need support from individuals, organisations and businesses who can help & support to organise things in the run up to this year’s event. Hereford River Carnival is about community, and you are it, so come along and get involved..’ Katrin Cross Background: Hereford River Carnival is Hereford’s largest free community event and since 2014 has brought thousands of people together in celebration around the River Wye. The event has regularly seen over 10,000+ attenders across the street carnival, river procession and the main event site on Bishops Meadow. It is a platform which provides opportunities for local groups, organisations, local independent businesses, artists, musicians & performers to shine. Like many community events & organisations we are facing significant challenges in the current financial climate and without the wider support of the community we won’t be able to sustain the event going forward. But we are passionate about keeping things afloat and hope you are too. Hope to see you there! https://www.rivercarnival.org.uk/ @visit_herefordshire @river_carnival @wye_knot_community @leftbankvillage #hereford #community #wyeknotcommunity
