Rock CF Half Marathon | 1:24:52 🤘

It’s mile 12, Aidan (my cutie pacer) yells, “if you want to get under 1:25 you have to split a 6:30, I know you want to see a 1:24 on that clock.” My response: “NOOOOOO!” 🗣️ Anyways, I was able to run a 6:27 to finish under 1:25 for the first time ever! So fun getting to do this with my love! TYJ!!!

ROCK CF 2026 🤘🏻🎸⚡️

i had debated back and forth how i was going to attack this race while being in a marathon training block- either treat it like an easy long run or push the pace to see where it would lead us.

when i was getting in bed the night before race day, my “watch for God” bracelet from leading kids camp many years ago stood out to me, even though it sits in the same place 24/7. it was then made clear to me what my race day mindset was meant to be.

one thing lead to another and all of a sudden we were negative splitting the back half of the race 😜 the sun peeked out for less than 60 seconds right at mile 12 (when i knew i could pr without a doubt) and there were definitely a few tears. hi God!

heading into week 12/16 nursing some hip/IT band pain but otherwise ready for the final month of training before 26.2 EEK

🥇Medal Monday is the best time to thank the crew at @rivershalfmarathon for putting on an outstanding race series yesterday, in support of an impactful and meaningful cause. Cystic Fibrosis is a devastating disease. The act of running- and using our lungs to their capacity- is a way of honoring all of those who fight with and against CF.
🫁I am sharing my splits here because I am proud of my heart and lungs. I ran at what was my goal half-marathon pace. I surprised myself with my engines staying well below my lactate threshold throughout the 15k. @krispy.runs and I are going to go deeper into the work, and I am here for it!
🏆I am also here to acknowledge what an honor it is to share the 15k Masters Title with my dear friend @runningartbeers. I would not be here without Rashard, and that is a fact. But I’m here, we are here, and we are goin’ all the way up.
🥹Thank you to all who made this an incredible day. We love you @rivershalfmarathon @triviumracing!

1:39:56 on the clock at the 2026 @rivershalfmarathon! First race since October 2024 as I spent 2025 healing an Achilles heel injury. My cardio wasn’t what it used to be, which was evident after mile 1, so I had to adjust mentally, settle in, and focus on finishing strong. Grateful for healing and ready for more—RBC Brooklyn Half in May, where I’ll be focused on getting stronger and cutting some weight.

Glad to be back for another year with Coach @ortaluis15 and the @myolympiccoach team. Coach Luis always has me ready and strong and I look forward to a year of returning to glory.
